I'm writing this post in place of Aloy's post earlier as I am handling this gig and am in direct contact with our client now. So you can PM me any questions regarding this gig.

A christian themed magician is needed on super short notice.

Details are as follows:

Date: 30 april (this sat)

Time: 5.30 - 6:30pm

Location : Balmoral Rd (exact address will only be given to the
selected performer)

Audience: Birthday kid is 7 yrs old. Abt 30 kids plus accompanying adults

Type of performance: Kid's birthday, Bible Study

Duration: 30mins Stand-up magic show. 30mins of games and bible study

rates: Please make an offer

For those of you who are interested pls send me a PM telling me:

1) Your experience in Gospel Magic. Length of time or number of times.
2) Show routines in detail
3) The biblical message you are spreading
4) Details of your games (types of games, music, prizes if any)
5) Details of your bible study
6) Your asking fee

Have you found one? I am so.. hmm.. Not sure if i can do it.. that's the prob..

We were actually looking for someone who already has a prepared Gospel show. If you are interested why don't you create a brand new Gospel show? You can "test" it by showing it for charity or for your own church. If it works you can then take up any gospel shows we might have in the future!

Anyway for this gig M.A.D was chosen to perform. The show went well and he's pretty happy about it. Perhaps he can offer us some tips on performing Gospel Magic? ^_^

Yah please.. do give us some tips.. prob like how you personally chose to integrate stories with routines.

Also, how you play with some ppl's philosophy that magic and christianity are not a pair.. =)

As for me, a helper in the Church Kids Ministry, i was trained in creative teaching, and as for i found that by using "magic" to tell the truth, the children will stay longer than i using puppet. :D

Principle of Gospel Illusion.
a) Know your MESSAGE well and choose your magic able to CONVERYING the truth; :)
B) The point of the magic MUST be the point of the MESSAGE; :g: and
c) Convey the MESSAGE at the HIGH POINTS of the magic. :lol:

many people's philosophy that magic and christianity are still not a pair till now......let me ask you this what to think magic was?? -_-

Well M.A.D I have already split a thread earlier and started a new thread named Gospel Magic. It is under Magical Theory and Philosophy. You've posted there too! Do contribute to that thread, there's an interesting discussion going on.

Perhaps you can meet more members interested in Gospel Magic and if you like, you can organise a sharing session anytime. Do meet up with the other members to share and exchange tips.

If you need any help in organising a meeting, do let myself or any of the administrators know. We'll try to come out with something. :D
