LarryDK - May 2, 2005 11:14 AM (GMT)
Nice performance by everyone. Sorry guys, for only giving such a short performance, i didnt really came prepared for a performance. But i sure like all the performances done by the rest.

The whole place is crowded like hell man. Haha, and alot of new faces.

Of course, we can forget to thanks the organizer for all the effort in finding such a place for us. Hehe.

[Ling] - May 2, 2005 11:26 AM (GMT)
The outing was sure fun!

I had a magic overdose.

Shoot Edwin's linking rings is nice!

And, some of us jammed at Macs until 9 plus. Fun!

ksat90 - May 2, 2005 12:08 PM (GMT)
Haha...
It was fun.

Got some tips about performing along the way. Saw different types of performance too. Quite an eye opener for me as a amateur magician.

Hope I can get my peer soon and become a member!

AhLiShuFi - May 2, 2005 12:14 PM (GMT)
the outing was great for sure! n the performances were big WOWs for me. yeah... too bad i came late cos of my cuz's wedding... but at least i din missed it. wished i had stayed longer n get to noe more of the guys there. too bad i had to rush back. my father was kind enuff to let me come over for a while. anw, i really loved edwin's linking rings. sleak, smooth n cool man! wonder how long has been working on those rings...

Winder - May 2, 2005 12:16 PM (GMT)
Glad you people really enjoyed the performance, i think all performers are great too. Been working on those rings since Early March.

extremer - May 2, 2005 04:35 PM (GMT)

I am quite surprised with the large turnup. Didn't really get to interact much with all of you. Well there will be more chances. Hope I can contribute more for the club since this is my first outing with SMC. Keep me in touch.

Thanks to the organising committee for this meeting.

Hope some of you still know who i am :P

Thanks for the chicken wings, Calvin! (your kid's so cuuuuute!)

Haha.. You should know who i am by now.. ;)

Anyway, i think the meeting was one of the best gatherings that i've attended in a long time.. Cool to see flourish pros close up and at work. Magic effects were good too!

And the 'extra' gathering at Mac's made my day even better.

Thanks to the organisers for making this event happen, and thanks to the company of guys that joked around with me at Mac's! (otherwise, my day would have ended off real sour)

Btw: Aloy, remb that you lent your pen to Cheryl at Mac's? I now have it.. B)

extremer - May 2, 2005 05:29 PM (GMT)
Haa Haa I know liao. No problem on that. By the way didn't quite get your name that time you intro. Too many names to remember liao. :P. Hope to see you all again.

Sorry can't stay for too long. Didn't expect all of u to stay till so late.

Hope you remembered mine ;) LOL... just teasing, but really it was sweet you came with your family and your baby is soooooooooooooooooooo cute!!!!!

It was fantastic meeting everyone @ Coconut Groove that day, and at least the only thing that broke was a salt shaker, not a glass door or some chairs (like after a band jamming sessions?) :D

My friend enjoyed watching the performances and she wants to thank those who did special one-to-one performances to her as well *lol* Most importantly, thank you for supporting The Little Magic Shop that day.

^_^

...Special thanks to Falcon for being my macho man too. You're such a gentleman!!!

Aloy - May 3, 2005 08:35 AM (GMT)
This one was really fun :) I think we all met lotsa new people in this meeting. Lotsa people were joining us for the 1st time.
I think where possible we will try to hold open social gatherings now and then for everyone to come together and socialise.

And Huron and his "non-girlfriend" looks so cute as an item don't they ;) B) :!!:

Lukold sure had lotsa fun hitting on the girl studying there with her friends at Mac, but I'm not completely certain that her (guy) friends were very very pleased thou B)
And all you vultures sure waste no time in capitalising on Lukold's initiative and bombed the poor girl with countless effects after effects. B) Yeah, you know who you are.... ;)

It was a bunch of fun. We should do it again sometime :)

BuaYa - May 3, 2005 12:33 PM (GMT)

Ahem, we played a thing called Ouija Board. ;)

In MACS?

heh. and I thought they didn't allow cards.

hahaha siyang I thought you were just playing around with your phone that time.. you took a picture without asking! tsk.

ok, for the outing itself.. I came late. didn't get to see much of the performances. I remember a few though, those were great! esp Winder's "not-original" Ninja Ring routine ;) and Jason's routine.

I guess we had more of a blast after the outing itself. everyone sortof had their own little spaces to do their own stuff, rather than being cramped into the place watching performances. it wasn't really a "session" per se, but at least I learnt loads of new stuff. which I seriously need help in

BUT, I had to go back to celebrate Mother's Day early, didn't have much of a chance to go to PS with the rest. plus, exams had already started, and I hadn't completed much studying. anyway, what did you guys do after getting to PS?

lukold - May 4, 2005 02:23 PM (GMT)
aha tham u arrived all sweaty with nearly crushed breakfast and lunch buns in ur bag >.<
ouija board!! OH MY GOD
u didnt ask me to play! =p

LarryDK - May 4, 2005 04:30 PM (GMT)
Hey guys,

A bit of off topic:

About ouija Board, best to be careful. if you guys playing it for real. It can be bad if you are not careful about it. Have experience from friends that it turn bad when the person didnt finish it off well. I not trying to scare u guys. But hope u guys understand what i trying to say. Better be careful then sorry.

extremer - May 5, 2005 01:12 AM (GMT)
Wow Oujia Board, whose does it belong to. Never really see one b4. Just be careful.

Winder - May 5, 2005 02:15 AM (GMT)
They actually sort of make it on the spot and actually started playing with it.

Yea.. Mac no Cards allowed, it was quite awhile before the manager came up and say "No Cards Playing Here Ah".

What the hell.... why everyone keep saying Edwin routine.. yeah it not original and its form shoot ok but he did add a few of his stuff in it too.. come on do you think is easy to think of original stuff.. give him a break man... -_-

Awwww.....isn't that sweet....

I think tham is just making fun about it Mac :!!: B)

Andy - May 5, 2005 06:27 AM (GMT)
Hey i never watched Shoot's DVD on the Ninja rings but even if i did, i have to commend Winder on his performce.

The smoothness and lack of hesitation when perform the rings really looked cool. Oh just a minor complain. Think Winder needs a little more practise on getting the Rings off the table at the end of the routine

And that goes for the rest of the performers too, Kev, Aloy, DavidKim, etc. Great performance there!! It really take nerves of steel to be able to perform in front of such a big crowd B)

Cheers ;)

GordonLi - May 5, 2005 08:06 AM (GMT)
yea, that's true. i really admire those who can do the ninja ring routine well. esp those who even attempt a one-handed link (its crazy!). highly commendable. (ps. cynwell is sooo good at this!)
