hey anyone watch the advertisement for the coming monday ch8 variety show , it feature a guy doing fork bending (banachek methods i presume). Is he anyone we know?

in fact, IBM and SAM can actually be considered a magic underground, cos its not open to all, and not really publicised.

Don't mind me asking, but how do you assure us that theres no such organisation? Never having heard of it does not necessarily mean it doesnt exist. At least thats what i think :wacko:

I mean there was never SMC till it was set up, No MMF till it was given a forum online, why cant there be a SUM (AVG MUL, SUB, etc)?

Maybe Sehnsucht would like to tell us more about this SUM if it exists. Nothing personaly but just find it quite intriguing to hear of new magic clubs in Singapore.

i heard rumours from somewhere.. some magicians at a magic shop talking about Singapore Underground Magic too. What i heard is that they deal with illegal stuffs like piracy. Dont shoot me tho.. cause thats what i heard

they do not deal with piracy. i heard s/U\m were linked up with T.H.E.M of USA to come up with new ideas for shows. I would like to see them do some of T.H.E.M's stuffs as well.

I do understand there are some "Underground" Magicians who are very good, they have their own effects and create wonders.

What the hell are you talking about. Cretivity? Look at HURON. Look at KEVIN (flourish?). Look at DARYL! All these people come up with new magic regularly. Not to mention the infamous C.L.J...

But somehow, i heard from someone, there are really underground magicians who are damn freaking good. But no one ever saw them before. Don't know how good they are, but heard they are just good.

possibly, but then again, the term underground doesnt necessarily refer to a group. it just refers to, well... the underground! its just perhaps a highly informal group of ppl who are just keep low. its a general term, not a specific group name.

then again, we've all been hearing ppl say they have been hearing ppl say abt this...

but because its not really a group, it will be hard to just get in contact with them. u're either in or out, in the know or not, as i said, just a term to describe the low-lying magicians and their unpublicised magic dealings. its just like using the term "black market", although this may not be illegal.

Anything that is underground is meant to be unknown to the public... even to SMC...

like the thousands of singapore's "punk-rockers"... you think they have listened to underground(local) bands? most of them dun even know such bands exist.

A lot of people who barely performed one hour of shows call themselves 'underground'ees. If thats so, I call myself underground too...

Man...they showed the same advertisement since last week abt the guy who can bend fork...now i not even sure they will show it next week.

Yes...i was glued to the TV for an hour but in the end was a big dissapointment for me.... -_-
