Description: Finding the best music background

I just want to know normally what kind of music you use for your show? Any tips?

I've only used music ONCE when i did a miser's dream parlor style before.
I think i used something from cafe del mar.....so very ambience.
What's good? I think one thing to consider is the pace of your performance. Whether it's vibrant and fast-paced, or slower and lighter, so to have the tempo of the music matching it. It might help if you can put a profile to your general audience, and choose music that they will recognise or like.

I liked using music that time, it worked very well and it took the stress off the patter. And it helped me paced myself so i wasn't rushing thru the routine or going too slow.

That would be instantly recognisable, albeit a little cliche......i think.

I think it will work very well if you use it as a comic effect thou.....or it fits the pace of your performance very well...

Beware of copyright issues when using music for shows. There's a couple of cds released for use of magic performance such as Barry White and Jay Scott Berry. These music are more to new age.
