A particular shopping centre in the heart of Orchard Road will be having a mall promotion during the June hols. No mentioning of names just yet but it's one of the hippiest, funkiest, most happening malls in SG :P

Ok, more details:

Experienced magician need for walk arounds on Sundays only. You entertain shoppers by performing Close Up magic. Please prepare a range... cards only is so... *yawn* :P

Please Note - Performers who are SMC members with charity/ paid gig experiences will be prefered for this paid job.

Dates: 5 June ,12 June ,19 June ,26 June 2005 (All Sundays)
Timing: 3 - 7pm

This is a reasonably paid gig, so please dress up properly to distinguish yourself as a respected performer. No need fanciful glitter but no ragged jeans, faded caps, torn sneakers or rude t-shirts either.

I will personally get back to the chosen individuals on the paid amount. In essence, they're looking for a decently skilled performer who is tardy, reliable and responsible who will do a good job :) Helps if you think you're good looking too - just kidding!!!!

Wow, 4 hours is really tiring man. Only one performer per day?

Argh I thought you meant we could only do cards. Haha I ain't taking this one up I suppose. I need to do more charity gigs for SMC I guess. And, I've been signing up for a lot of stuff so I guess other people deserve a chance. Shouldn't hoard everything eh? Thanks for the opportunity anyway.

It's 4 Sundays now - basically each Sunday in June, 3-7pm.

The client will select the performers who are keen... and pay will be disclosed with those selected.

for the paid gig that's coming up right, are we performing as a group of four on all the slots, or each person will take a slot?

One decently dressed, decently skilled focused performer at a time please. No group jamming/ flourishing please. The performer on that day has to be professional while working, so please, no friends "hanging around" kinda stuff ok :P

Raoul will be doing the gig every Sunday from 3 - 4pm & later at 6pm - 7pm after a break, starting from this weekend. He will be walking around the mall in costume while doing street magic... let's look forward to his posts on his shared experience since this is probably the first time a shopping centre in SG has actually employed a street magician to entertain its shoppers this way!

Meanwhile, if you guys are interested in such paid gigs, the best way to gain confidence and adequate experience is to do some magic for charity where you can reach a true audience so you learn how to manage them.
