Hey guys,

All these while ive been only using Window Movie Maker (wmm) to do my vids. it's v easy to use but the effects are kinda limited. Ive seen other vids and wow.. their editing super good. i wonder what they use.

I know Sony Vegas 5.0 is suppose to be very good or at least being used by people like kev and harwin (great flourishers). I just bought the cd a few days ago, hehe pirated one. But man, its not easy to use man. coz its pirated, there's no manual or watever to refer to.

Its not like WMM. totally different man. Do u guys have any experience with this software? i really need help. thanx.

Also, where and how do u guys get the sound effects from? eg. thunder (like in devo's dvd or brainstorm), helicopter, just u know sounds effects that can be put in a flourish vid.

hehe... WMM is easy to use. u can choose time line or story board. u will get to know it v well quite fast.

As for vegas, i think only can play/edit in timeline. there's no storyboard. i cant seem to insert clips in certain parts. if i do so.. it will just overlap. its like i have to move everything to one side first and all. thats a bummer. tonite will be my third night trying to understand how it works. the reason i got vegas is coz i like the effects it can create.. the transitions are nice. but need to overlap... so clips must be longer before and after move to prevent it from being cut due to transition effects.

u cant get some effect like those u can get in vegas (only if u know how to use it) .... lol

WMM is good for starters.... i like it alot but im looking to improve my editing skills. Its a v interesting actually editing vids.. heehe.

since u asked, check out "audio house" at aljunied. now got sale. the prices pretty gd. if not, can check out simlim. next best alternative. but for now, check out the sale first. got quite alot to choose from. prepare abt 600-800 for a relatively gd one which will last u for years to come.

For now,

All videos i filmed is using a 3.2 megapixel camera. (CANON IXUS IIs) Got it at PC fair last june. Theres one PC fair coming in 2-5 JUNE. Check that out. LOTS of dsicount and stuff.

A digicam worked well for me, but please please ensure that you get a good megapixel one,or your videos will look like your camera suffer from down syndrome.

A video cam arh?lucky plaza should have alot of camera shop,u can go there and see and compare prices...

open the movie maker...
click view...
select task pane...
after you do that ,a box will appear on the left where you have options to add titles etc. :D

If you go lucky plaza to check on cameras, I assume your name could be Robert.
