Title: What Types Of Decks Do You Want To Buy Most.
heartsofclubs - May 24, 2005 06:35 AM (GMT)
Hi.. May i know what kind of decks would you guys want most? Do you go for unique ones (Those Andy sells excluding tactical shield). Or do you go for those more serious ones like bikes, aladdins, tactical, vipers, tally ho etc..
Let's not involve cost here ;)

Who doesn't want Jerry Nuggets? :P
I too wishes for Golden Nuggets, Desert Inns, and maybe Caesar Palace or Jack Daniels.
For now, bikes and tallys are fine. ;)

Heh I'm a pretty average flourisher so I'd rather use the average flourishing cards like vipers and black tigers. I've never touched or fanned out or felt or licked or molested a Jerry Nuggets deck before so I have no idea what the hype is about.

Basically, any decks which can perform tricks and flourish is good for me(Alladin)..but of course i do prefer bikes & tallys, hoping to get vipers and tigers real soon ^_^

For those interested, I will be coming out with a "White Deck Demo" in the next few months, should be done by mid-July. Buy one for the price of 4 and get 2 free! :D

Dont get you.. Buy one for the price of 4?? and get 2 free? isnt it the same as paying for 4 decks and getting 3?

People who don't understand the concept of humor if it hit them right between their eyes should be forced into an arena with Richard Simmons in tight black leather. =/

EXACTLY.
Wel, Studs has LINEN finsh, Tallys Have LINOID , so its not the same andy :D.
They are good never the less.
STUD CARDS ROCK. If only they were a little stiffer HAI -- Daren.

Thanks for the corrections Senghoe. My eyes missed out the slight difference in spelling. Ok here is the edited post to prevent misunderstandings. :P
You guys might wanna try out stud playing cards
Cheap (only $6 per deck), has a linen finish (Somthing like Air-cushion) and is a nice variation
Click here for more info on how it looks like
According to Senghoe and Daren, these cards are good!!
For me, I like playing with Gemaco stock at the moment. Smooth and extremely stiff so its really good for cuts and do not go out of shape that easily
Of cos, like everyone else, i would love to handle a deck of Jerrys and see how they really feel.
Cheers!!

My friend has a deck made in belgium which has Linen finish. I remember the cards to be very soft, not stiff at all. Springing the cards and dribbling was too easy which is not really a good thing.
I'm wondering if it's the same for the Stud cards?
iewgnod - May 26, 2005 06:16 AM (GMT)
Studs do have that feel
they're real soft, easy to spring and stuff.
they're real thin too. B)
SeNgHoE - May 26, 2005 07:36 AM (GMT)
Well,,,,,,
Being the first person in singapore to touch those cards, i must say i like them brand new. They are TOOOOOOOO soft when u season them.:S
tham - May 26, 2005 02:16 PM (GMT)
first person eh senghoe? :P I doubt Chris has never felt them, on one of his numerous (?) trips to the US. I've got a set of these from '87, when my uncle was getting a degree there.
yeah it's too soft for my liking too. not good for fans/spreads/anything else in the long run (practicing), but as a performance deck not too bad. btw, they go for about US$1.50 in Walgreens (San Francisco).
the deck I want to buy the most? definitely something that has some sort of value to it, like those desert inns/golden nuggets/carson city nuggets/jerry's nuggets. not necessarily to use, but just for my collection.
