hello to all flourishers out there. i was wondering if there is any 'secret' to do faster flourishes? is it just a training of the hands?

Let's say you're learning how to rap battle. You won't go and blast off something like:
I puke, eat it and freak you,
battle? i'm too weeded to speak to
the only key i see to defeat you
is to remove these two adidas and beat you
and on each foot is a cleat shoe
...at some rapid-ass speed. You would stay at home, and slowly memorize your diss by heart, getting comfortable with the words and how they sound, putting emphasis on it. If you were to have straightaway practice speed, it'll come out like some Rainman-isque kind of stutter, which'll be a real tragedy at the battle dome. But if you've already got it down smooth, just a little more practice will get you faster every time.
Same with flourishes. Same damn thing ;)

Practise to the point whereby you totally lock the mind away from the physical movements. Whenever i achieve this, my hands start to become more nimble and move faster.
However, to achieve the first mentioned statement, you gotta practise a lot.
One idea, is to take note, NOT of the card movements, but rather, of the finger/ hand/ arm movements. For me, it sure helps a lot. B)
