Title: 3 Card Monte - Which Source For Beginner?

zhuanan - May 25, 2005 05:56 AM (GMT)
Hi Guys:

I have heard of many wonderful sources from which 3 Card Monte can be learned.
For me, I have never touched 3 Card Monte and have no idea on how it is accomplished.
However, I would like to learn to perform it.

What is the best source (book/DVD) for a beginner like me for learning 3 Card Monte (Ungaffed version) till performance standard?

Please recommend. Thanks

the best i've seen is Daryl Does the Full Monte DVD, lots and lots of stuff, a classic Daryl DVD. (in fact, i kinda like his DVD style)

In addition to Daryl's awesome DVD, you can also check out Lee Asher's unorthadox 3 Card Monte routine with a killer ending over at His Official Website. Totally kills laymen and magicians alike. I've yet to see anyone but Asher master this routine ;)

yes, i got asher's 3CM ebook 1-2 years ago, and i quite like the 2 psychological sequences he described. however, after watching daryl's dvd, i realised that the ending in ashers 3CM wasnt exactly a new/unique idea, and the only "improvements" were that of carefully describing the details.

but anyway, i use stuff from both sources. they're great to have!
