Title: Shotgun Aces
Description: Regarding the 3rd Aces
[LV] - May 29, 2005 10:49 AM (GMT)
After producing the 1st and 2nd ACES, I have problem making the 3rd ACES appears...
Qns: when the 3rd ACES is at the ready position, how to make it appears ? Do I swing it hard or use the another 1/2 of the deck to knock it out ?
I try knocking, but doesn't look natural, any sugguestion ?

You have to let it pivot out. If you can't pivot it out, try tilting the packet with the ace at a 45 degree angle. This will allow it to slide out.
Nick.

when i split the deck into 1/2 with the ready position for the 3rd ACE, the thumb is holding one side and the rest of the fingers on the another side.
The 3rd ACE suppose to come out from the front where the 4 fingers are. I flip flip flip flip.... wooooooops. the deck flys out..
Another problem arise, how to do the shuffle without exposing the 3rd and 4th Aces ?
The video really didnt give much instruction...

just do a false cut will do. no need shuffle.
its kinda knack to swing the card out. the wrist action. anyway shotgun aces is a rip off <_<

rip off means it's very fake ? not magical at all ?

nope. it means its taken from another source and selling it. kinda like stealing. if iam not wrong shotgun aces was part of the grandfather aces routine performed by David C. penguin magic did not credit anyone for the moves taught.

But as usual there's no point arguing. Copperfield doesn't hav eproof that he invented it and neither does penguin. Heck, anyway if you really can't do the 3rd ace thing, do a hot shot cut.

One thing is for sure, it isnt copperfield who came out with this move, if i aint wrong, there are many people who independently concieved this move, McBride, Bill Malone, and another guy whom i dont know how to spell his name.
Well, one tip, its the flick of the wrist. Improve on it, and the card will snap out.

personally,i think its the action of yr wrist and hand.
the action should be like,u lift the hand towards u and up,then tilting the deck down abit and flick it down.you get what i mean?
lol.this took me quite some time to master it.hope that helped.

if i do the hot shot, then the 4th ACE will be MID (Missing in Deck)
