Title: West End
Description: New video by Karen and Jessica
kxxcheng - June 2, 2005 01:32 AM (GMT)
This is our second and also last video. We'll be going off to college and on our separate ways. Not to mention, planning, filming, and editing a video is a lot more work than I expected. Props to anyone who's released a decent video.
The credits in the end may be hard to read, they are
Dan/Dave
Tudor
Kenner
Bone
Steve Mills
Oh, and don't watch it without sound. Enjoy Smile
http://hoverfrog.com/WestEnd.wmv^thanks to richard for hosting
MODS- I accidently made this poll multi-choice instead of single choice. Any way you could change that for me? thanks.

iewgnod - June 2, 2005 05:48 AM (GMT)
cool video, nice settting, nice music, but it was kinda too long for me.
the TCTCSA needs a bit of work, so does the 00.327.0000
but you girls have some cool juggling skills! Sick spring and a nice one handed fan. The book spinning was cool too, espically the last part where there was a twirly swirly effect made when spinning the book.
i gave it a 7 out of 10. B)

GIRL POWER!
Awesome to see girl flourishers doing videos. ^_^
Well, I'm one too.
Yea, that TCTCSTA and 327 need a lil bit more speed here and there, but hey your springs/sybils/molecule/juggling/and book spinning are good!
I used to do book spinning too. :P
Well, GREAT JOB!
*shat... me feeling a lil guilty for not making any videos... SOON. :D *

I look at is as more of a display of awesome ideas blended with impeccable editing!
While I do not deny that everyone (including the ducks) are talented individuals, this video stands out from the crowd.
With the exception of Kevin and Harwin (IMHO), many videos deal with the obsession of speed and agility.
However, this video pries deeper into the personalities of the characters (including the duck).
In short, a woman's touch in flourish related videos is definitely a whiff fresh of breath air.
This video reminded me of many gritty skateboard videos - nice music, creative camera work, faces (tells a million stories), bloopers, ducks, and most importantly... PERSONALITY.
Gentlemen, I think the ladies have moved the bar up a notch.
iewgnod - June 2, 2005 02:52 PM (GMT)
uh huh
and i wonder if the ducks can reach that standard?
oh yeah, i forgot to add. whoever did the false sybil, good job. :D
LarryDK - June 2, 2005 04:57 PM (GMT)
This time have to agree with mr Number. But about the duck thing, maybe different la.
It is always true that people will forget the real essence of what they wish to show to people and end up showing what to others, layman or even pro, speed or cleaness.
The important things like presentations and even just the place will affect the whole video output. Agreed tat the gals did a great job here. Nice editing and good luck on your way to colleage.
Peace out.

yup i agree. those were "mine" and karen did the molecule/360spider. she's in general better at card stuff whereas i take to more acrobatic feats, but i was ok with how it looked :)
thanks for the feedback!

Good heavens! That editing, direction, conceptualisation and cameraworks is top notch! Very fun/holiday/summer feel. I know zip about flourishes but that's a great vid for me, just for the editing and direction alone. Wow B)
A fitting "farewell piece". You ladies will look back at this video with very fun memories.

I think that it's simply BEAUTIFUL. Good editing! The song and the whole vid made me tear a little too..
This was one vid in which i didn't really care much about the cards. But anyway, if you wanted my comment, i'd say that the Buck flourishes were clear, though a little choppy..
And the cards look a little big in both your hands. Kinda funny.. :g: But it goes to show that hands that are small (or look small) are never limited to anything.
Finally, the juggling and spinning are just so beautiful to look at too. :D

sweet juggling, sweet spring + 1 handed fan, very sweet girls.
i think the flavour of this clip isn't really on flourishing, looked more like a farewell clip to me. nevertheless, great editing skills, execellent theme.
wish you girls good luck. ;)

Ambigrams are words or phrases written so that they can be read right side up or upside down.

Blackwing - June 7, 2005 01:40 AM (GMT)
ok that was a great video. However, I've got a complaint. The video was just a bit too long. I liked the scenes taken by the video cam but I felt some scenes were a bit too long. Anyway the sybils, fans, juggling and spring was really good. Kudos to the two of you. I gave you guys an 8. Nice job!
Nick.
