hmm do you guys polish your coins? eg half dollars etc
cause after a while it tends to blacken. anyway if you all do, what do you all use to polish ur coins?

If you don't use it, the color will change. But if you were to use it regularly, there's no ned for you to polish.

You can use any metal polisher, I use autosol. For copper coins, its better to keep the natural color. If you polish it, you'll have to polish the rest of the matching coins to the same color. If you use one more often then the other, you'll have problems when you ned extras during some routines.

I'd say forget about polishing unless you want them just to look good and not use them. Or when the condition is really bad.

I agree with Magicdow. Don't polish your copper coins, else you'll have problems getting all of them to match.

Just use your coins often dude..

i cant agree with those 2 experienced peepz more. dun bother polishing them. the only coins that i actually polish are my chinese coins. cos i prefer that they look shiny rather than old n ugly.

i use autosol to polish my silver coins.

another reason not to polish the copper coins is that they will become too shiny.

have u ever watched a performance where someone uses silver and copper coin and from afar u cant tell the diff? i have, and it was because both reflected the light so well. for better contrast, polish silver coins, keep copper unpolished.
