this vid cant be for real man lol
super freaky...
i dont think i would ever wanna go to the arcade and play a game like that :D

It's Darren Brown. But it's too far fetched even for him. No way an arcade game can put someone into a hypnotic trance like the one that happened to the guy.
And there seems to be some pre-show work. The 2 friends are going along way too easily. B)

I think its the flashes in the arcade. Also he mentioned that only 1/3 of the population are affected. Anyway it's just so cool if it is true. :)

I doubt its really "impossible" for darren brown.. i saw his other clips, one of the best to me was the one where he made around one hundred people raise their hands... and they themselves didn't know why they did that. So for this, its quite possible as well.
I think the flashes was the cause of that trance.. and when darren walked to him and covered his eyes, he probably passed out. o.O Or maybe went back to the hypnotic state..

Ya, i believe that flashes can hypotise someone. But dun u think its a bit lame, i mean the video.
And it is not good to be hypotise. Cause there is side effect and it means that the person can trigger u into sleep mode. (Like what the man did to the victim after he open the door)
And the victim's 2 frenz din do anything? Tats weird.

I think its most probably cause they didn't notice him suddenly entering a trance, then sleeping.. or even if they did.. they didnt know how to react? Then derren immediately showed up and handled the situation.. its possible, no?

D Brown da man :P LOL... he's such a cool mentalist. When exactly is his TV series coming to SG? How soon is soon? :P
Anyone's read any of his books? Nice stuff!

I'm a Derren Brown Fan. Got both of his books Absolute Magic and Pure Effect. And Oh man... he's good.... but I still remain a little skeptical on some of his works (mainly his "documentary" videos), too drama rama already. hahaha
Anyway its not right to just hypnotise anyone like that, it may endanger the life of some. Not sure if this is true, but i recalled of this story about this hypnotist. Apparently, he hypnotise a boy and instructed him to be naughty. Subsequently, the hypnotist was unable to undo the spell as the boy was too naughty and refuses to listen.... thus living the rest of his life as a naughty kid.

It's not possible to hynotise someone unknowingly with flashes of light. It only happens in cartoons and movies i think.
A person can only be hynotised willingly and even in a hynotised state, you cannot make the person do what they do not want to do.
You can make them do what they USUALLY wouldn't do, but you cannot make them do what they do not want to do, e.g. go kill someone.
So those hoping to hypnotise a hot babe and make them fall in love with you, go work on your appearing napkin rose instead B)
If that wasn't a stooged act, the person must have been "pre-hypnotised" before the filming to react to the flashes or something.

There's a loop hole there. Although you can't make people do something that is against their belief, eg. kill a person, you can actually go around it right? With the guy hypnotised, if let's say you want him to kill (just for argument sake not that I want someone to be killed or to kill), you can just make the guy imagine he is a chief or a butcher that is cutting meat. Cutting meat is not against his beliefs and is something that he do not not want to do. Therefore, it is actually possible to make a person to do something that he doesn't want to do. That's what I think. I'm dabbing into self-hypnosis and such actually. :)

Maybe the game itself contains subliminal (however you spell that) messages and the flash sort of trigger it into parts of your brain.
There's a possibility :X but it seems soooooooo impossible. :)
But if it's real, then what he did was super cool, imagine playing Resident evil safely at home and suddenly you got "Transported" into the game itself.

no shit is this for real?
looks like a fakie, but who knows? theres a certain chance that it might be real. it be cool if its real dont you think so? but he's a cool mentalist no doubt ;)

I'm never ever going to play another shoot'em game at the arcades anymore...
