Title: The Secrecy. Don't Lose It.
Description: Are you ready to lose your best talent?

I hate to admit it, but it seems evident that too much magic
exposure is killing my performances. There is no longer that
"extreme" joy which i once used to have.

I doubt it lies on the problem of me being that bad at performing.
At least that's based on the responses from laymen. Usually, it is
the unsuspected magician who tries to act clever infront of their
friends and try their best to give you off.

I've learnt wonderful stuff from Brad and a couple other magicians
on dealing with such "hecklers". Unfortunately, my situations are
rarely the same. It's little to do with audience control. The
reality is that carrying a deck in ones bag has become a norm. (At
least that's what you see when you enter the district which i live
in)

Some cutting edge techniques shared by fellow magicians would be to
move on to the next performance and not giving them time to make a negative statement or response. Picture yourself trying so hard to
continue when Mr smarty doodle starts commenting,"Chey, that's
simple. I can teach you guys. Wanna learn?" I can emphatize the
kind of temptation there is at that point for laymen to run off
thinking they'll soon be a magician!

This subject has been debated countless times. I truely believe
that the only morale solution to this is for magicians to have a
sense of integrity and entertainment, rather than money and profit. Remember also that believing it's real magic is already 3/4 the journey to convincing others of your reality.

Not human integrity! Integrity of magic. Ensuring that it doesn't
spread. Acknowledging that magic itself had been a well kept secret
for hundreds of years.

Entertainment would be to declare magic in their life as excitement, joy and happiness.

Once the terms "integrity" and "entertainment" are engraved in each
magician's heart, the exposure of magic would have to surrender and
admit defeat in the face of integrity and entertainment.

So to all i say, be it magician or not, the next time you watch one perform, just sit back and relax. Enjoy it or you might just make this art diminish forever.
