the j10 spin looked nice, the cobra catch looked a lil akward. the flipback fan looked darn nice.the cut after the thumb fan was short but sweet ! sybils... i dunno how to comment on sybils :P electric eel looked good too. the ace production at 1.42 was NICE ! but............................ teh intro was too long IMO, other thant that... very cool for a first video. well done ! :D

hmmm. flipback fan was kinda sweet and smooth. so is the electic eel. and yes first was a j10. the other was a variation i guess.

and yes. fer the (x+1) times , the intro is too long. wher x = the number of posts which stated that the intro was long.

As impressed as I was with you doing my reverse J10 cut, I'm pissed that ou've used a move without the original creator doing an official release of the cut, ala, me. Also, that handling of the J10 cut is the REVERSE J10. The other variation of the J10 cut on the video, is created by my friend Ong Peh Hong. I've heard rumors that its been called 'The Claw' by some Magic City go-ers. Now, please let this be just another rumor. I can't imagine another 'Mental Monte - Street Magic' situation arising again.

Now, if Glenn, you are in this video and did the J10 cut, as both a fellow competitior in MU2005 and as a friend of Huron, I URGE you to follow in his foot steps and give credit where credit is due. Its not as if I earn money from this move, so I feel that it is fair if credit is given where deu. Also, unless I start selling this move on a dvd, I expect credit to be given whenever this move is used in a video. Either that or you can approach me to ask for permission to use the move.

anyway. i never seen glen do a j10 cut before and we stil dunno who exactly are in the video yet. it may be any1. and besides there are no credits fer the vid. which is inapproperiate too.

This is disappointing.
I can recognise the hands in the vid. One of them is Glen. Why? Because I taught the guy how to flourish, and he's using my Electric Eel, my Sybil technique, my Rev technique, and the ace production I taught him. But, not a single word of credit nor thanks. Electric Eel and J10 was used without permission as well.

Ima be real honest here bout the vid.
By posting the vid on a public forum, i suppose you guys would be open to comments and criticism.

To start things off, the intro was bad. Too long and nothing interesting.
And damn techno music doesnt really work for me.

Why did you guys just perform the Cobra catch? The beauty of the Cobra Cut is the actual set up from mechanics grip to the Cobra Cut striking position. If a layman were to view this video, he could easily say you guys placed the packets there. And the Cobra Catch would be nicer if you guys caught the packet in one frame and not all over the place, which might lead to the hands being off cam, which in this case did happen.

The sybil type of cuts were abit boring to watch, for me. Try to add more flavour to them. Examples, motions or some lil extra moves.

Flipback fan was aight. Good shape. But once again, show the actual set up of the flipback fan. It would be nicer.

Thumb fans needa alot of work. Try to aim for a circle rather than a D.
Mess around with different thumb placements and stuff, you get the idea.

One handed fan also, play around more with it.

Electric eel was cool. The best move performed in the video.

The 5 pkt display at 1min 30secs was ok. Pretty basic stuff. But nice idea. Develop on it. Possible to enlarge it.

Ace production was lacking the style. Didnt look quite good.

No credits? Most of the moves performed in the vid is not an original creation of either of you. So i think the artiste that created the moves that were performed in your video DESERVE the credits. Bad move.

Anyway, not bad of a vid you guys produced. Work on the music and editing, and not forget on the skills.

about the first par of the text, since u leanred it from brian tudor and chirs kenner, thant u should credit brian tudor and chris kenner if u dunno who to credit, this would have saved u alot of trouble about thei crediits thing.

second part, the "reverse j10" still has the look of a J10, the spinning part and the way the cut goes into the spin was justin's idea in the beginning so i feel that credit should be give to him for the idea of the spin and catch idea and the person who created the variation.

sry if all this sounds a lil harsh, but i hope this wont become a de'vo and hariwn war. :ph43r:

I'd like you to try doing a cobra cut except for spinning the packet in the opposite direction and TRY calling it your own move. See what people will say...

To be honest, I'm looking forward more to the proper crediting of the moves in THIS video before I'll ever be ready for the next one :mellow:

Waitaminute... if none of the moves in this are going to be in the actual vid, why is it even a "preview" for the actual video at all? Unless I'm badly mistaken (and I'm not), a preview is supposed to provide a sneak peek into the actual video, and not to show something entirely irrelevant to that... which, on a different note, is even more reason for you to add credits into the video.

Since you're still so confused, here's a list of the people you should be crediting for the sybil:

Chris Kenner - since you (apparently) learnt his "5 Faces of Sybil" off "Out of Control"

Brian Tudor - since you (apparently) learnt his "What the Hell Happened to Sybil" off "Showoff"

Huron - since H. taught you his style, and helped you out with stuff that I-don't-know-of-but-should-be-credited-irregardless

Wait, so because some unknown random guy from "SP" came up with the same thing, ostensibly after Justin did, you're not going to credit J. at all? I'm assuming you KNEW that it was Justin's move before this, so what reason is there NOT to credit him?

Hey hidden factor, I feel that it isn't right that credits were not given to the original creators. I'm creating a video, and, I have decided to use one of Daryl Ho's moves inside the video. I PMed him and asked for permission and he was cool about it. He even offered gave me advice on which program to use to create a nice vid.

So what I'm saying is this, without crediting the creators of the flourishes, you are making everyone really really pissed. And, without the respect of other magicians your magic/flourishing will go nowhere.

Respect if you want to be respected.

You have to be a creator to fully understand how upsetting it is to have your move taken and used without permission. I fully appreciate the people who have PMed me for these issues, and I always give the go ahead if they also give the proper credit. It really sucks to have your brainchild "misused" like this.

Please give credit where it is due. If you feel it will affect your video length, you can always credit in the post itself.

Though I haven't watched the video but I realize that too. Master Huron was right. Judge his head... I mean should we chop Glen's head off or hang him on the cross top of that moutain. All the people in this video must be punished. Yes. -_-
