.......or go for surgery, get rid of it once and for all.

adrielho11 - July 3, 2005 05:10 AM (GMT)
!!!...it's not that serious..
i mean my sweaty palm..
i think alot of people here have this problem too..
DrinkMilo - July 3, 2005 05:14 AM (GMT)
no.surgery doesnt mean it's serious.
you just have to cut away the sweat line or something.
adrielho11 - July 3, 2005 05:32 AM (GMT)
they'll cut a hole at the side of your ribcage wit a pair of scissors..
..insert a long metal tube into the hole and burn your sweat nerves..saw it on t.v once...and you'll have to stay in bed for at least 3 days..is it still serious??.. B) ..haha..
dtjk - July 3, 2005 06:21 AM (GMT)
Woah, then i think its better for u to stick with changing decks in a shorter time.
LarryDK - July 3, 2005 10:32 AM (GMT)
Ya, the onli absolute solution is to go for op.
nyx - July 3, 2005 11:03 AM (GMT)
Seriously, everybody will have a little wetness on the palm. From what my doctor says, unless your palms are sweating till you can see droplets of sweat, you don't have to go for an op.
Well, Another test would be, once you feel that your hands are on the maximum point of sweatiness, press it hard on a clean dry tissue paper, without wiping. If the tissue becomes considerably wet, it's serious.
Save some money!! Unless you really love doing cards so much and your palm simply destroys everything. ;)

I was seriously considering going for an operation. The other variation that i heard of, was the the sweat glands in ur palms would be altered.
Btw, mine is so bad, that as i type this post from my laptop, i literally leave water (sweat actually) VISIBLY on the laptop. Really disgusting, ya?
One thing that i now do, is that i practise in an air-conditioned room, or on the bus on my way to school. This is cos its sooooo cold, that my hands do not release sweat. Try it. B)

There are may different ways too get rid of sweaty palms
1. Going for a op
2. consume chinese medical herbs
3 Accupuncture
There are also creams which can stop sweaty plams for a short time
but i don't think it'll be good espically if you handle cards;
makes it all disgusting.
Washing your hands with detergent also helps
for me that is.
it makes your hands very dry if you use it often, and wrinkly as well.
But look on the bright side, sweaty palms help with your cobras :)
hihs - July 3, 2005 02:24 PM (GMT)

4 me... i keep wipping it and some time it doesnt help. and who saw my SP DECK should know what i mean.

My cousin have SERIOUS!!!sweaty palm. I know how you feel. My cousin LOVE to flourish but because of his sweaty palm his deck expand in size(x2) and end up spending a lot of money on deck. TCM help a lot . Go to your local TCM clinic. Go offenly and you will have no sweaty palm anymore=)

Wondering how Air Cushioned plastic cards will feel.
BangHao - March 16, 2007 04:00 PM (GMT)
You should use that to your advantage instead. When u have a sweaty palm, you are able to stick object to your hands and there are many applications to that concept. Jason , the demonstrater of Magic Castle, uses that concept pretty well. When he was performing trick which uses this concept, i was wondering how i wish i have sweaty palm also. That is something most magician doesn't have and most importantly can't buy it. BE PROUD OF WHAT YOU ARE BORN WITH!! :g:

Expand in size? Does it really happen when you have sweaty palms? Wow, thats something new for me.

Its partly due to the moisture which gets onto the card from your sweaty hands. Especially when you handle cards for long duration in one go.
Perhaps Broderick can recommend his cousin to have 2 decks to switch regularly when practicing (eg. every 10 mins), letting them 'cool down', which reduces the amount of heat and moisture on the cards (factors that 'spoil' cards). Therefore the cards would not be in bad condition too quickly, saving money.
Oh, and in between remember to wipe the hands clean. ^_^
Anyway, he should be seeing a skin specialist, since its actually so serious that cards expand that much. (2x !) :D

Actually there are some products (cream or spray) that temporarily reduces the effectiveness of your sweat glans in producing sweat when you apply them on. Maybe some of you can try those.
If your problem is severe and chronic, an operation is a good choice to consider, minimal risks and instant, reliable results. I don't think it is that expensive either.
muscleaxl - March 22, 2007 10:01 AM (GMT)
Try this 2 chinese medicine
1. Cordyceps (Dong Cong Xia Cao in Chinese)
Quite expensive, if you get good quality.
2. Liu Wei Di Huang Wan (don't know the English name)
Cheaper version. Works just as good for sweaty palms.
3. Or try anything with ginseng.
It would boost your yang and yin in your body.
