Title: Changing A New Deck

shagy382 - July 20, 2005 01:48 PM (GMT)
Im just wondering if you guys change a new deck when ur old deck gets too worn out especially through tons and tons of flourishing...though sometimes old decks flourish better lol

I don't flourish much, but I prefer to use old decks. They're more sticky and probability of cards falling is lower.

Yeah.. i prefer old decks too...

new decks are too smooth which means cards fall alot... and because they are new, they fan very well so if you practice fanning too much on new decks you wont be able to fan as well with old decks anymore.

but if your deck is worn out to the fact that when the cards are removed from the box they stick to each other due to all the dirt and sweat solildifying, then its better to get grab a new deck n start wearing it out.

i think its all about what deck one uses and what flourishes one wants to do

different decks can be good when they are new or old ;)

That's right! sometimes I even used glue and tape too, they are perfect for stuffs like cobras and sybils. Yah, but not so good for the competition. lol that's why I never wanted to join the stupid competition

Hahaha. Imagine someone flourishing very well and then out of the blue he drops a BLOCK of cards... OUCH!

That guy will fail badly for fanning then. Haha.

Sometimes 502 (glue with the elephant) works best for cuts like the skunk cut (the 10 packet cut capcasino) which is my all time favorite. Or you can use roughSpray, works fine too. I always use that for the SSS, great one too!

roughspray?? could you get that locally?

Using old deck would probably not do too well in fanning.. doesn't it?

TayYH89 - October 25, 2005 07:38 AM (GMT)
A good way to solve all these problems is to apply fanning powder on the deck, whether old or new. Powder makes the cards stick together well, but still enable fanning.
But still, I usually don't apply powder on a new deck cause..... it's new.

Applying fanning powda to a brand new deck of cards is the way to go.
It feels just like the perfect deck. Not too much powda though.
Have fun with powda.

Isn't the 'glue with the elephant' super glue? I don't usually post much here, but this is something I can't stop laughing over...

super glue... that's some serious skills!
