hei guys....wassup.....anyway,i need advise....who thinks its a good idea to include the dark card into a ambitious card routine....

hihs - July 24, 2005 09:58 AM (GMT)
i think its a pretty good idea. dark card is a powerful trick of u can perform it well.

[Ling] - July 24, 2005 01:22 PM (GMT)
That's a good idea!

Work on it, it will turn out great. :)

Change back colour, normal ACR routine, then for the ending, card to wallet literally. Nice one.

i love the idea of dark card. Strong effect.

LarryDK - July 24, 2005 05:35 PM (GMT)
Ya, i agree with the rest that it is nice. But think abt the possiblity of it. First of all, it can be hard to maintain it in a ACR. But if u can do it, then its a up up situation for u. And i will suggest not doing a full ACR routine but a ACR in dark card routine.

Get wat i mean?? Hmm..

Dark card in the ambitious card routine is great. I use it all the time. But, unlike others, I use it as the closer. Its a really powerful effect and people really go , ' wow ' when they realise that their card, has actually changed colour even though there's a signature on it.

Remember the most important thing about magic. Surprise after surprise leads to no surprise ( gordon said this once ). Basically, too many kickers lead to one heck of a confused audience. Yeah if I were you, I wouldn't end my ambitious card with ' card in wallet' if you are going to use the dark card (sorry ling, gotta disagree with you). But hey, its your choice and you should see the advantages of ling's view on this.

NO ONE WALKS THROUGH THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA AND STARTS LEVITATING IMMEDIATELY AFTER.

Well, the card to pocket or wallet thing is just anotehr option for you if the audience isn't impressed still. Extra. ^_^

For me, performing magic, you have to be a little more flexible. Adapt to the situation. :)

Hope this helps.

I am thinking abt something.. Anyone tried showing the wallet is empty, put the wallet on top of the deck, and a gesture, like a knock on the wallet, when u reopen the wallet, the card is inside the wallet?

I thought of that recently, but still thinking of ways to get to that stage.

Well said. :o

Check out Tommy Wonder's ACR. Its the best I seen. The only ACR I seen that got a standing ovation from the audience and he truely deserved it. His ACR ended with the card found inside a box.

ACR with a CTW ending ain't really much of an overkill if you seen Mike Skinner CTW effect.

It really depends on the way the routine is structured and the presentation given.

himber wallet can?but it is not signed card

LarryDK - July 28, 2005 10:19 AM (GMT)
Nah, no extra card. Deck and card can be inspected.

Blackwing - July 28, 2005 01:00 PM (GMT)
Exohordon I totally agree with you. CTW isn't overkill. Its great. However, if you combine dark card and CTW, I think its just a teensy-weensy overkill. Its just my opinion. There are about 500 more magicians in SMC and I'm sure they may have better advice.
