Title: One Hand Pass
Description: not brad christian's one hand pass
dimsumdemon - July 25, 2005 08:17 AM (GMT)
vidSame thing, to view need quicktime 6 ++. Yes, pour quality. I never learn my lesson.
ANyhow, the problem in this is gravity and i'm still doing it slow. Because of my lousy hp. Too big an action will be blur and then i will look like super god when filming.
Just wondering who else like to do tricks with just 1 hand.
Something im exploring so, free for all.

sorry but i dun really know wats a charlie pass.
effect :
1] show chosen card on top.
2] turns deck and point to bottom card saying chosen card not in the bottom,
3] turns deck back and did a charlie-a-cut.
4] chosen card turns face up in middle deck.
the card was passed before i did the charlie-a-cut.
Think i shouldn't have done the charlie cut
Sorry for all the confusion.

I dun really get wat you mean,
This forum is bias based?
GordonLi - August 2, 2005 12:53 PM (GMT)
info on charlier pass can be found at:
1. expert at the card table
2. expert card technique
and frankly, using the cover of "its not on the bottom" is lame. they saw the card on the top, why shud it even be on the bottom?
dimsumdemon - August 2, 2005 01:33 PM (GMT)
.... firstly, I would like to apologise for my misunderstanding video, couldn't agree more with everyone.
Secondly, im trying to experiment how to pass a single card without changing the sequence of the whole deck and probably flip it in the middle.
Thirdly, this is done inspired by one of my friend who can pass a card one handed from the mid. I dunno how he did it.
Lastly, explaination for the video below,
1] show that all card is face up.
2] selected card ace of spade sown on top.
3] turn deck, passed card to mid.
vidmy previous post : This forum is bias based? <-- im asking issit experimental clips cannot post? :(
Gordie : I was thinking to incorporate this trick in the middle of a routine, had spectator place card in middle, shuffle card and force on top. then gesture maybe its on the top, pointing to the top, turn around and point to the bottom saying ," definately not in the bottom" then pass the card.
Probably I will look into charlier pass. Or maybe you guys know another pass which does not alter the deck in anyway.
Maybe someone gonna ask why I wanted to do a pass to the mid instead of mid to top. I guess we all just have something we wanted to do.
Jeremy - August 7, 2005 05:05 AM (GMT)
of course not. This forum's friendly to so-called experimental clips. The next time u do noe, make sure we know wehat you're doing. and i'm pretty sure that's not the 1 handed pass.
shooyu - September 2, 2005 12:43 PM (GMT)

Brad's so called 1 handed pass is crap. He actually had the cheek to show laymen the pass and then use that as a misdirection to perform his ^#^#%& 1handed pass...
shooyu - September 2, 2005 03:18 PM (GMT)
are you serious?! ellusionist was recommended by a friend of mine. and i thought brad was pretty good. you know, the perform part always very captivating. he always manage to make his audience say ' WHAT! ' or ' HOW DID YOU DO THAT?! '.
what are some magician you can introduce to me?
Blackwing - September 2, 2005 03:22 PM (GMT)
david regal, bill malone, juan tamariz. Couple of my favourites. Please please please don't go near brad christian, I can't stand that guy.
Jeremy - September 2, 2005 03:31 PM (GMT)
he uses bridge size cards when he can't do certain sleights and he exposed the pass online, what more to say about him.
BUT.
i thought the build up to the '1 handed pass' was good. if you can do the same build up without exposure, you're good.
heh contradictary i know. B)
shooyu - September 2, 2005 04:01 PM (GMT)
lol.. i have heard of people not liking brad.. but not to this extent.
okie, note taken! :D
Euphoria - September 2, 2005 09:13 PM (GMT)
IMO, brad do not have a kind of classic magic feel like Daryl, Michael Ammar etc.... His different magic contains alot of modification from the original, but only some are good and nice. some crappy.
i prefer Oz Pearlman born to perform than his videos. :P
Sometimes, on the website and stuffs, he makes me feel like its marketing and doing business than Magic. :ph43r:
dimsumdemon - September 3, 2005 02:27 AM (GMT)
Wow...i didn't know my one hand pass got people talking about it till now... guess everyone got their own view on brad's one hand. Anyhow, my own variation of the one hand is angle sensitive....
it is too hard to perform, as it really requires alot of hand power...so......hope you guys can come up with a real one hand pass better than mine.
and yup, brad did expose the classic pass for a one hand pass build up.
Blackwing - September 3, 2005 05:05 AM (GMT)
well actually, I feel the your 'one handed pass' should be called a ' one-card-reverse-pass'.sincerely, I think your move is pretty good. I've never seen anyone do something like that. Yeah, cool.
dimsumdemon - September 3, 2005 06:52 AM (GMT)
wow...black wing thanks for the compliment...you making me fly...its not that awesome man...lolx....my next vid should be slightly better i guess... :g:
gonna post another card trick vid up...hope you guys can give more comments..
CLJ - September 3, 2005 10:35 AM (GMT)
In addition to all that's been said about Brad, I'd just like to add that he wears eye mascara... I think that bit of information should be helpful to you.

I think his sexy manly voice is more appealing to me.
No really my post was making fun of Brad if you had read through it properly, and anyone who took a look at his face would make similar observations... and no I don't like the man, in both the sexual and platonic sense of the word =S
