Title: The Little Magic Shop's First Auction

BuaYa - August 13, 2005 03:03 PM (GMT)
Firstly I gotta start off my saying that there were TOO MANY GEMS at the auction today. I mean, did you see all those magic magazines? Those were wicked and to think they were going for $1 per pop. Someone (Ning) wasn't in her right mind. He he.

Anyways, to say the least, we've GOT to thank the little magic shop for organizing such a great auction, here are the PROs and CONs.

PROs
+There were some GREAT battles between the players that led to greater prices, especially when it came to the limited edition goods such as the magazines.
+Quality of products were up to standard.
+In depth views were given for each product.
+Relatively long list of goods.

CONs
-Too many people who weren't bidding at ALL were there.
-Sadly, some of the stuff didn't get sold.
-A little too hot for my tastes.
-In depth views were given for each product.

Ya, so if Ning you can keep these in mind, I'm sure the next auction (if there ever is one) will be a greater success...

oooo i thought all of the stuff was sold. anyway THOSE STUFF WERE HOT!!!
gt my linkins at 7 bucks >.<
bank job at ten.. and loads of other stuff at close to 1/4 or 1/3 of their prices.! man , those people who missed this out. u missed out all the fun. i mean it.

Ning - August 13, 2005 04:53 PM (GMT)
LOL... my loss is your gain, glad I made lotsa people happy :) yes Lukold, it was really fun - I enjoyed the process, I'm glad we could do it at my place. It was pretty breezy too, and thank you guys for coming *grin*

Thanks for the breakdown of it Buaya... I don't know when the next round will be but will definately try to improve on the next one ^_^ Most of the things were cleared off and it wasn't my intention to make profit anyways, just wanted this to be fun.

Once again, thanks everyone for making TLMS's first auction a smashing SUCCESS!!!

Looking forward to the next SMC outing already...

Ning :)

hmm.. actually, i wanted to buy alot of the stuffs... but sadly, it's at the wrong time of the yr when i got no more money to spend... i wanted to buy the silks that larry bought badly!!! darn... anw, would be better if more ppl doing non-closeup had turned up. then, the stuffs like the hank ball would definitely be sold (it wasn't sold rite?).

dtjk - August 14, 2005 12:59 PM (GMT)
Yea man, Xtreme, you did miss out quite a bit, lol.

The auction was great, lots of stuff were like going for such a low and slashed price. I cant believe that Michael Ammar's Coin Magic Vid was sold for only $7! Its like "Wtf? Are you god dammit sure its Michael Ammar?"

I've watch that vid before, that why I didnt get it, and I was like telling people who havent watched it to get it; its such a good deal, lol. And oh yea, D'Lite at $8?

When is the next auction gonna be? Lol. Oh yea, and meeting new people who are magicians are definitely great.

Cheers~

Thanks cardfreak... that Yigal Mesika set went for 40 bucks I think... no way you can ever buy it so cheap now, it's worth USD$70 and that's not including shipping and stuff yet ;)

Maybe you can persuade the lucky guy who won it to sell it to you if you truly want it. It comes complete with his ITR, YM wax, instructional vid, booklet and of course the special glasses and case.

I honestly think that was one of the best grabs besides other things that flew off during the auction :P

Cheers,
Ning

I got shoe't for 5 bucks! I checked out the price using an online search, and shoe't is priced at $25 US. Thats about $44 Singapore. Hahaha.

Aloy - August 22, 2005 07:02 AM (GMT)
The auction was damn fun althou I do feel a little like a geylang durian seller :g: The funny thing is i am pushing BOTH for the buyers to raise the prices AND for Ning to sell it cheaper :)

I got a few fun stuff myself :)

Let's see if I can persuade Ning to have another "$1 Auction" for SMC's 1st Anniversary. :)

Look out for it, and don't miss it ;)

Ning - August 23, 2005 02:19 AM (GMT)
