the second vanish looks more suspicious than the others.

overall,not bad at all :)

GordonLi - August 18, 2005 01:28 PM (GMT)
execution of sleight: good
knowledge of angles: good
effect pacing: good
stength of effect; good
flow of effect: to be improved
"smoothness"/elegance/naturalness: to be improved
entertainment value: good, but should play up the impact

overall: 5.8/10 (or slighly better than average)

hope u roughly understand what i mean by each point. need elab, just ask.

Thanks for the comment too. I understand what you meant, except how I play up the impact?

if u could do it faster and a bit smoother it would be good!

GordonLi - August 19, 2005 02:22 PM (GMT)
give a slightly longer pause between each effect so people can digest what has happened and know that it really vanished/reappear before u move on to the next.

it might also work if u do this as a rapid fire series of vanish and reappearance.

"When struggling with a trick that doesn't seem to go over, try speeding it up or slowing it down, see if the change in tempo doesn't make it more effective." - Al Goshman

so try both and see which works out better. this way, partly through pacing, u can play up the impact.

Well actually I feel this video was fantastic. Yeah, you didn't flash and I thought your moves were kinda graceful. There's always room for improvement of course but I seriously think this was a good first video.

I'd give this video a 8.5.

i'm a noob...i also don know tis trick...but hope u don mind mi saying this...u were a litlle stiff...so it seem that u are hiding something...so...just my opnion

Magicdow - August 20, 2005 11:59 PM (GMT)
I think it looks pretty good to me. Maybe you should'nt repeat too many of the vanish with the same sleight.

been practicing a lot. my hands are getting smoother. Just that I couldn't get the right angle and position to perform in real life, just as I tought, it's not possible to use mirror and camera to measure.

Thank you, that perfectly explains it. Now left the hands on part for me. :)

First of all, good or bad, all comments are welcomed! The more I watch the video, the more I find my movements rather stiff too. By the way, I am hiding something...!

As you can see, there's a total of 3 sequence. In my opinion, it should be just nice. I would love to mix other vanish sleights into it if I can manage to aquire more of it. Thanks!

You should tell that to Oz Pearlman...

After all, this is his routine from his video "Stealing Pips".
