It'll never be a tiring thing to me especially when they give the funny expression on their faces after the tricks. :g:
Well if they keep pressuring for more, I'll just say, "That's it for today. I'm running out of mana at the moment. Why not get me a drink?" :P

Hi all,

I guess this tiredness can be due to many factors like a burn out or just simply discourage because you didnt achieve what you wanted. Or perhaps a plain lack of strong passion. Just like learning a language. At the beginning you are like a sponge absorbing as much as you can but after a while the interest sort of dies down.

Keep up the good work. Take a different perspective whenever you get tired of magic. Think about the first time u learnt something great that you could perform well. I think this will keep you going and become better and better.

Regards,
Yen

The thing is, you don't have to perform magic every time you are asked to do it. Do magic only when you want to

MinistryOfBicycle: that's a good trick.

Thats a nice 1 dude.haha

Ya maybe junior, you should look at the topic on "cardice life", well, at least i feel that theres nothing to learn and not bored of doing it.

Seriously why will you get bored of it? I mean it is not like something you dont like right? Every Magician enjoys showing magic to friends, especially their "cannot figure out" "Not possible way" <_< looks.

So i think you should seriously consider on continuing pursue on Magic.
I mean you should do something you like.. :)

the worst thing is not asking more and more, the worst is they call you repeat and repeat...for that case i tell them today no power liao i need to take a nap 1st :)

yea i know what u mean junior..

There was 1 time when i performed like countless tricks to a grp of friend in the morning and all the pattering and moves are making me very exhausted mentally and physically..Then in the afternoon a friend of mine asked me to show some tricks and i just told him i only have time to do 1.. and i left after just 1 trick.. kinda need a break for the day..

But of course, the next day, ready to go again!

ya..sometimes a magician cannot perform too many tricks at one time.I have experienced getting tired and lost form if i perform too many tricks at one go.For me,normally i choose tricks that are simple yet shock. Moreover,i also choose my audience too especially those with huge reactions or the "kuai" ones.Normally, i do about 4 stunning tricks for that day and stop liao..so that to give them the urge to see more at other days.

Yup.. its very important not to perform alot of tricks in a single day.. if not you might have to end up repeating tricks a week later!

ya lor..i remembered that last time as a starter in magic,i have often shown lots and lots of tricks one shot to my NS friends which left me running out of tricks for a period of time. They started to become impatient when they often ask me whether i can show them some new ones. Now i have learnt my lesson liao.So just do magic like blaine, perform one or two nice trick to the stranger and walk off, leaving them the urge and a mysterious feeling.
