hey, anyone can help me and tell me where to get fanning powder? My decks are getting pretty rough... I'd like to smoothen them out. I'd appreciate any help :)

fanning powder you can get from the dealers here.. lol but if your cards are old and dirty and maybe like wrap alittle or so don't bother to use fanning powder is time to get a new deck... :D

thaddeus - September 5, 2005 11:48 AM (GMT)
i think it is better that you get a new deck.. if you buy the fanning powder , u also need to spent some money.. Use that money to buy a new deck! PM Illusionist! He is one of the suppliers! Or Ning! Good Luck With Your Magic!

Hahaha, I nearly fell off my chair when I read that!

Let me guess, after you finally know how to open it, you'll take another 2 weeks to find out how to use it. :P

chewguanxun - September 6, 2005 07:21 AM (GMT)
haha lol dunno how to open... nah i dun think i'll get a new deck cause my bikes are only about 2 weeks old, still a lot of spring in them. its just that the cards "stick" to one another... its not like dog-earred or anything, not that bad.

chewguanxun - September 6, 2005 07:25 AM (GMT)
oh yeah and forgot to add in in my last post, how much do they cost, and how much of it is there in one... box/bottle/canister/container wadever..

Blackwing - September 6, 2005 08:33 AM (GMT)
Hmmm it cost $7 from Ning. Hell I'd pay $7 just to see her. Haha. Think of it this way. $7 to look at Ning and you get fanning powder, free.

Hey Ning, I'm just kidding so don't kill me. And Aloy, I'll stay away from you for the next few days :(

chewguanxun - September 6, 2005 09:59 AM (GMT)
err, okaaaaay..

hey i want to add on to the topic of fans... I've got a no-brand about bridge-sized deck, paper, quite soft, plastic coated.(none of air-cushion finish or anything like that) yeah i got it from my auntie who heard from my mom that i was going like crazy over cards. (Haha!) anyway, to get to the point, i realised that it fans pretty well, even better that that of like say a deck of new bicycles. Its more or less prefect everytime i fan.

i feel that the air cushion/flow finish of the bikes and brands like that only allow the cards to be have a very smooth feel, for as low friction as possible. whereas with my plastic coated deck the cards "grip" onto on another just enough, so that the fan comes out nicely.

so at this point im sorta wonderin, what is the ultra smoothness of cards really for? i dunno but you all, but to me i dont see the point of the deck being as smooth as possible.

just my 2cents worth... B)

Blackwing - September 6, 2005 01:53 PM (GMT)
Thats the point of fanning powder. Fanning powder actually gets the cards to grip each other. Thats why a slightly seasoned deck fans more beautifully then a completely new deck.

chewguanxun - September 7, 2005 05:18 AM (GMT)
orrh, icic. I thought fanning powder will make it like -super smooth- too haha. my bad.

thaddeus - September 13, 2005 09:50 AM (GMT)
I learnt alot of thing from here man... lol.. chew , just get ur fanning powder from illusinist or ning... then , apply them to your bikes... and then i sld be nice..WARNING: Do not apply them to ghost decks... The decks will turn like... #@%*&^&&(*@#&@@ after you apply them... haha... but for tigers... i dunno.. i thk it sld also look ugly man... lol. ;)

Hey chewguanxun. I'm getting rid of my fanning powder. Wanna purchase it? I also offered it in another thread. 1st one to PM me with a good offer wins. :P

I've got my reasons. My palms are super sweaty. If u squeezed them dry, you could fill an empty Coke bottle with my pespiration.

Anyway, my bottle is a real pain. FYI, i've only gotten 2 shakes out of my 1st ever bottle of the powder.

nah, i dont need the powder anymore, sorry!

i started fanning my bikes for like 3 hours straight and now they fan real nice lol :P

but i cant get the fan to extend more than 180 degrees thats the sad part... then i can only like see half of the indices :(
