Title: Street Performing?
Description: Things to try on holiday...

Multi-Talent - September 27, 2005 04:41 AM (GMT)
Greetings,

Just wondering how many of you have a busking licence, feel like trying but never really go street performing? Your licence will be a waste to be kept at home collecting dust...

As everyone knows, Nov and Dec is school holiday, so it's time you plan a "street show" and put your licence into good use! You won't know if someone need your service, and thats when you might be able to turn professional!

I'm suggesting the idea to go street performing for a few reasons:

*Don't waste your licence!*
*Learn from each other...*
*It's time you put your skill to test! (proof yourself!)*
*Mass outing/meeting...(if go as a group)*
*Gaining experience! (different kind of experience from doing paid gigs or charity)*
*Understanding: Street magic (David Blain style) vs Busking*
*Holiday income! :P *

If you're interested but not sure how to start out and need help, can contact me at the following (or check back at this topic):

Greetings again,

Hi to all in SMC, just to inform everyone that I'll be at Orchard (near Lido) tomorrow from 3pm onwards, not street performing but if you're interested can come join me for discussion or meet up to know more about me or busking. I'm bringing my performing props along so if you want to try can come take a look.

I'll also be at Esplanade underpass from 8pm onwards joining the Singapore's Jugglers Group for training, interested parties can join us as well, many of them are new so don't be shy!

Here's what happen if we meet up (discussion):

*Getting start: "Things to know about street performing (Busking)..."*
*Hecklers line: "Way's to handle Hecklers..."*
*Anchor: "Finding a location to perform..."

For those who can't meet in the afternoon don't worry, I'll repeat the discussion at Esplanade underpass. For those who might be interested in learning juggling, you can approach me to guide you as well, here's the list of things i can do for juggling:

*3 balls
*3 clubs
*3 rings
*3 knives
*3 torches
*Plate-spinning
*Fire-twirling
*Hat tricks
*Balancing items over head
*Hand stand

I won't be bringing all these props along, I can help you borrow from the jugglers there for you to try. Anyway if you're new to juggling, you'll have to start from balls 1st, and the rest will come later...

Remember to save my hp number in your phone if you intend to meet up with me, do let me know you're from SMC when you call! :D

Alan
