I'm looking for reviews/comments on Docc Hilford's Wizard's Manual Book test.
The effect seems really powerful, although its feels more "magic" then "mentalism"

Get this: A Spectator chooses a page out of a paperback best seller. She remembers the main idea of the top line on the page selected. Remember, after the selection of the page YOU NEVER TOUCH OR GO NEAR THE BOOK AT ALL! You then proceed to tell her what she is thinking. Amazing. You now ask her to open to her selected page to verify that you are correct. Problem. It seems that now about half of the page that she has been thinking about has been ripped completely out of the book. Now, attention is drawn to a sealed envelope that has been in full view the entire time, and was mailed to the party days, weeks, months, or even years before. A spectator opens the envelope and removes it’s contents. It is the EXACT PAGE! This is the quality of effect that you hope to get when you buy a new item.

I think this is the effect performed by Criss Angel in his Mindfreak TV series? Correct?

I'm not sure...but something similiar was performed in Mondo Magic, i think Chris Korn performed it.
