oh, u'll be hearing the rantings of brad in both vid regrading in presentation :P
both of the video teaches sleights that used for ambitious card. DLs, top change, tilt, knee vanish, tenkai, can't remember all. but actually, i like the way brad taught me in presentation from the video even thou some of the sleights i've already know :g:

I've got CC #2, also known as the ULTIMATE GUIDE TO AMBITIOUXS CARD Vid on ellusionist.
The whole video shows you different techniques to create your own ACR. Most of them are very useful like, a pass, marlo tilt, the braue pop up card....then you can do what David Blaine did on his show.
IMO, pretty good video, if you only know how to do the ACR with DLs, but wanna expand your knowledge on more techniques.
Recommended.

Crash Course series is more for the beginners, so if you know your basic stuff(dls, simple controls...) then don't buy it.
But still, here's a simple review..
Crash Course 1 teaches basic sleights like DLs, False Cuts, Shuffle controls, 1 force, and some other very basic stuffs. it also teaches 5 tricks using these sleights.
Overall this video is ok and as usual brad teaches well. But like i said, mainly for beginners.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Crash Course 2 emphasize on ACR. Teaches dls, and many variations on how to present your ACR routine(but some of them are useless IMO, like the knee vanish). He talks alot(quite) on misc stuff like routining and other nonsense and some of them are quite valuable.
If you know your ACR stuffs well enough then there's also no need to buy this video.
Hope that helps :)
btw brokenvow, Crash Course 2 does NOT teach the pass, it only recommends to use the pass in ACR routines and to learn it you have to buy Ninja from their website, another one of their marketing scheme...

Whoops, sorry, my mistake, it doesn't even teach it, only has a segment to show you how effective a pass is.
Apologies.^_^

i got CC 2 .. its a nice and detailed dvd from ellusionist. it teaches abt ambitious card.
it contains routine of ambitious card and others that we can apply to other card trick routine.
i recommend to everyone ^_^
4 out of 5 thumbs up

basically like what the rest said, CC1's about basic card control and some simple tricks u can acheive from them.. den CC2's all about the ACR.. all the more basics kinds of sleights to achieve the effects.. also.. i feel that brad christian's teachings are always great cause he repeats the important points over and over until u find it irritaing.. but nevertheless the teaching is good and the stuff are good if u are beginning.. -_-
however, if u are going for more effects than basic sleights, check out Born To Perform by Oz pearlman from penguin magic.. :g: it also teaches ACR but not to that great detail in CC2 and other very strong effects like ultimate transpo, 2CM and biddle trick~!! :!!: it also includes basic handling and basic flourishes.. :ph43r:
hope this helps. ^_^

If you want to learn ambitious , i'd rather go with Daryls ambitious card
He's much more detailed plus this ambitious card routine is a gold award winner
plus he covers many many extra moves and presentations that u can do
good luck

well i have CC2, Born to perform and daryl's ambitious card. And i i think CC2 is a good one to start off with. It has many many different sleights you can put into your acr. And if you can do most of the stuff that he teaches, then you can basically do it like a pro.
Born to perform is good to add variations to your ACR..making it more interesting. And it teaches 2cm,biddle and impossible transpo (which is here then there in E)
and after a while i got bored of my ACR routine and wanted to see if there were more stuff i could add to it. So i got daryl's ambitious. But unfortunately, his moves are quite weird. Like his Lepaul's bl*** p*** is very very different. So different that i din even know he was doin it when he was performing. His other sleights require you to be quite advance actually, and he is not very detailed in his teaching..does not really go through all the tiny tiny details that you're required to know (if you have encyclopedia of sleights, it's almost the same thing)
But if you buy this, you'll find out how Dai Vernon fooled houdini !! :D
so i think that CC2 is the best, if you want to learn sleights

Don't get crash course 1, to me i think that the effects aren't strong enough. And also the price isn't worth for the material you actually get. It's more for people who just started card magic, but imo Born to Perform is better as it provides you almost everything you need to start your card magic right...
Crash Course 2 is an ambitious card dvd he goes into detail and you'd learn many sleights which can help create your own effects or for your ACR.

Born to Perform rocks, highly recommend it to anyone starting
effects are strong and beginners can pick it up easily
biddle is still a staple in my routines

Yea. Jay sankey stuff are very good btw. And check out greg wilson materials. Michael ammar easy to master card miracles would give you some good routines.

I love the last effect from Crash Course 1. However, if you are able to get an Ed Marlo book, read that.
C2 is still very boring... I love Daryl's Ambitious Card
And personally like Daniel Gracia Project
Jay is too "wicked", but good yah..
rolandlim - December 2, 2006 06:25 AM (GMT)
I find Daniel Garcia's stufff very hard !! amazing magician but very little of the project stuff is workable for someone like me whose still an amateur

Many people say that ellusionist products are rip-offs. Whatever it is, I found that CC2 was a superb video.
Brad Christian teaches very well.
