Title: Left Handed Card?
Lefty - October 28, 2005 01:49 AM (GMT)
Hi just a problem left hand is facing, when i do a fan, i cant get to see the pip and they are all blank... So just wandering could or is there cards in the market cater to the left handed, like the pips is at the rite (top) instead of left. :D

Most manipulation cards have the value printed on all corners of the card.

I do not understand how being left handed affects your fanning. I'm right handed but I do one handed fans with my left hand too. Anyway no matter how you fan the pips still can be seen right? (correct me if I'm wrong)
Let's just say that even if you are right about the pips not being visible, I think you should adapt and change your style of fanning instead of trying to get 'left-handed' cards :)

A standard 1 handed fan should always done with the right hand. There's also a way to do the fan on the left hand though.
As for the 2 handed, it's usually done with on the left hand.

erm.... ok... firstly im a lefty too.
I used to be so darn angry why the bloody pips must be on the "other" side... lol. but after yrs of playing around with the normal bikes... the prob dissappear.
Even though i can do fans on both hands. thumb fan on left or right... it does not matter. one hand fan left or right, both also can.BUT still Being a left does affect alil.
Eg.
u lepaul spread show no pips... sad case!
ur natural one hand fan on ya left hand... again no pips
a slight misallignment in doing the emsley count flashes the pip
There's pros and cons being a lefty but just use it to ya benefit. adjust. Look at Lee Asher.. he's one skillful magician. Once he told me that there's more advantages of being a lefty compared to right handers. Same with Darwin Ortiz..... :).. so yeah to all the lefties here... play more with ya cards... discover the advantages yaself. :)
ps. It will feel a lil wierd if i suddenly switch to lefty deck.... eeks.. i cant imagine. i think the spectator will also feel weird seeing pips on the other side.. lol
Cheers!

The good thing is went you table spread the cards, its more audience friendly to your spectator.
They dont have to strain their vision and look at the pips upside down.
