Power man; I love the kicker.

TayYH89 - November 2, 2005 04:04 AM (GMT)
Slow and steady, but why show all the coins in the end?

Markiebeth - November 2, 2005 04:26 AM (GMT)
I believe, as dtkj said, it's a kicker ;)

That's downright exposure!

I'm not really sure about that, but it does make the trick less magical, now that the viewers know you have that many coins.
If you have not shown all the coins, the viewers might be wondering where did the coins go to...

Blackwing - November 2, 2005 09:16 AM (GMT)
nah, nope. I think its a great kicker.

Keep it up man.

If you study the video, I included subtleties to show my hands are empty from time to time.

I don't want to discuss upon the methodology behind the effect but its not what you think simply hiding that many coins.

To the unsuspecting, the coins magically mutiply. This effect was actually created to fool magicians who already knew the original handling of John Kennedy's Translocation.

I still remembered how dtjk reacted the 1st time I showed him on webcam.

Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Each to his own. Each to his own.

less magical?

are you sure?

maybe because i'm a magician, i don't like it when even other magicians are told how lay people will react. i thought the routine was done proper and he did dean dill some justice. wonderful kicker.

i do question how you're going to do it live tho.. i mean, setting it up... hmm..

why do jokes have punchlines?

IMO, the ending is a nice kicker.

To the spectators, the transposition of the coins become mundane after a few times (If you watched the vid, you will notice that the transposition is done a quite a few times).

And exohordron did show his hands were empty quite a few times and with a few other subtuties (Don't ask me which are the ones but if u watched carefully, he used about 3-4 different ways to hint it) too.

To the specs, when they were expecting yet another transpo, gets a nice kicker by seeing multiplying coins. Its a different theme added to the classic matrix or coin transposition.

Nicely done and smoothly executed. Nice vid quality too.

CHEERS! B)

Nicely done. Enjoyed it

exohordon - November 2, 2005 03:35 PM (GMT)
If you own Dean's tape he did say how he sets up for a performance. Pm me Jeremy if you want to know how to set this up for a live audience.

I mean Dean wouldn't have created something if it is unusable in the real world right?

Someone pointed out to me that the effect I did was called Translocated.

Translocation was the original handling done by John Kennedy.

I hereby stand corrected. Hence, I uploaded a new link.

Same video just different title.

In Dean Dill's DVD, he shows Translocated's handling as well as the John Kennedy's original handling.
