hi.. started magic last year.. but got trick decks from pasar malam.. got bored about using gimmicked decks.. but ever since getting a second hand tiger from a friend.. i started getting ellusionist stuff and practising.. so this time I'm really serious about it.. right now I'm getting into mentalism.. cause lack of good card tricks already.. :( so if anyone have any good routines with the breakthrough card system can share with me? is this called exposure? just tell me the effect will do.. i will figure it out myself and maybe would even add some touch to it.. ^_^ looking forward to meet the other members~!

sorry if there is a misunderstanding.. what i mean is.. most of the good ones i don't quite like it.. even though it's very nice.. and those i like very much.. i don't know how to do.. :( so now i'm just sticking to practising with my present routine and trying out mentalism.. :D

its good... but you don't like it. its hard but not absolutely good.. you like it.
so you give up on card magic like this and go to mentalism?
dude, mentalism takes age, age of experience and too much presentation to let the audience believe you're digging into their minds.
heh got that from alexander.

Don't give up on mentalism. But since you said you're into magic for not too long, it's better for you to explore the different genres before you make a decision on which one you would like to settle on.
It's kinda true however that mentalism will take years of experience to make the audience believe you're digging their mind. That doesn't mean beginners will make a fool out of themselves.
Mentalism can be done close-up, parlour or stage. Take your time to explore. With passion, you'll go far.

Well, you can do mental magic first before going serious into mentalism.

Not everyone knows the difference between Mental Magic and Mentalism, especially someone with Exp:0 years.
