Actually, I think it's already been aired a few times before.
I don't think anything that big happened after it was aired the last few times...

I think this is the Mindfreak Series? Instead of just the 'Mindfreak' TV special? correct?
Moondust - November 28, 2005 03:51 PM (GMT)
It's a series. The TV special was 'Supernatural."
Season 1 of Mindfreak has 15 episodes. I've watched most of them already. His stuff is a lotmore extreme than David Blaine's. He's good...He's got balls...and he's voted Magician of the Year.

Some decent stuff to watch on TV, finally. :)

Lol Watever it is it is going to air on my birthday lol :D

It's not just decent, it's un-freaking-believable. I watched all 15 episodes on season 1 already.
Ling, I think you'll like it. It has a very gothic feel (especially if you have watched "Supernatural").
Not only the magic is good, the stunts are totally unreal. Criss gets hit by a car which rams him into a wall (he did that as a gag to scare his friend to death), sets himself on fire with minimal protection, blows up a crate full of explosives with him inside the crate, pierces hooks into his body and hooks himself on a helicopter which flies him over a canyon...wow. It' a miracle he's still alive.
Finally, you just gotta LOVE the music. All musical tracks used are written and performed by Criss himself. The alternative / fusion / punk / rock / electronica really gets the mood going.
Fans of street magic, check out the episode called "Building Walk." He performs Wayne Houchin's Sinful. A really practical and completely impromptu effect where a signed quarter is pushed through a can of soda. Get the DVD if you can. This can be performed with beer cans and our local 50c coin. An absolute mind-boggler.
Enjoy!

Very very true. You can use ANY of our local S'pore coins, but of course, the 50c piece is the biggest and that adds to the impact. I've performed it already. Best thing is, it's bloody stuck INSIDE the can! No duplicates, no p***ing, no tough sleights. Everything can be borrowed and examined. Totally impromptu.
The whole thing can then be given away as a souvenior! How cool does that get?!
There are only 2 things you need to take note of, one of which I can't mention for risk of exposure (but it a small issue, you can easily find a solution). The other thing is, although no tough sleights are required, you really need to practice hard on the movements taught. It is seemingly easy on the video, and also seemingly easy to replicate. Don't take things for granted. It really requires constant practice to make the movements look natural. It'll be good to perform for a fellow magician who doesn't know the secret of this effect. If you can't fool him, you can't fool a layman. Do keep that in mind.
Definitely worth the money. If you do buy it and want to know what the first issue and the first solution is, do PM me. I'll be glad to answer your queries.

Hi.
Just watched the show. Turns out it was shifted to 9.00pm.
But anyway, the illusions are really freakish. I like all the tricks. They are really unbelievable.
I like the stunt/illusion in the end.
