hey just saw the Magic of Love @ the expo yesterday. so wanted to see if you guys have any comments. The show has indeed come a long way since it first started.. indeed a world class show...
i especially like the great shanghai escape.
really good. comparable to Jonathan Pendragon.

Ya, i watched the show also.

To everyone, its not just a magic show, its also a musical, story based show. With people, including the 2 great magicians, acting out while performing magic.

Alot of classic magic that are brought differently into the show, like linking rings, body leviation, body sawing, escapes. :) Even though it is something common in magic shows, but the changes and different sequences made for this show is unique and certainly flows well. :)

The small part of the magic show is the silk switchings. Haha, when he did this effect, some kids are out there saying there is another silk in his hands, but then he mentioned, "will it be good that i teach this trick to everyone?" then he using a comedy way to "teach" the audience and it bind those kids off, when he shows that both his hands are empty most of the time. :) its comedy when ppl expected to learn some thing but in the end, its another magic effect that they cant learn. Haha!!, i love the effect. But dun think it could be done closed up anyway.

The linking rings are good, seeing normal 1 person show of linking rings, lawrence and priscilla did a 2 man linking rings, the timing is perfect, and it shows that the rings are really linking, where they 2 peform differently each time. Body leviation combined with vanishing is also a surprise for me. :) i din expect that the body will vanish after the leviation. Come other classics are the floating handkerchief and also the floating wand. Priscilla did it very well in the floating wand, and very daring. Well, it shows that it is better off doing at stage than close up. :) Doves producations and the ending of the doves vanishings also very nice. No one knows where he got all the doves hiding, even me of course, frenz keeping asking me, but seriously, i dun know also.

Switchings like, body from box to top, or from place to place or from a person to another. is very fast. No stopping or hestitations. Really good. :) Haha!!

In the end, it shows that magic show is not just about 1 magicians, its harder to make a producations with so many performers doing magic and another magicians as timing is so very important and acting out. Mr lawrence sure did a great job on it, and priscilla is very very good also.

Guys, when u have the chance, watch this and u wont regret going. And no point trying to think how the effect is done, cause its perfect, haha!! enjoy the show la.

I also went for the show, I've watched the first and the current one at the expo. It's really extreme make over!

Check out not only the magic but the lightings and music, its so so extremely powerful in bringing out the magic effects.

Especially the dream sequence, Lawrence was supposed to levitate while performing the asrah levitation. but the expo did not allow the effect. It was such a waste, it would really bring the climax out!

But i simply love the whole show, the great shanghai escape was simply outstanding, But the pendragons way of tearing the curtain's really cool.

The impaled illusion never seem to fail giving the punchline of the 'dead father'. It's just too cool!

I hope for those who haven't watch it, urge you to watch it! However the next time they perform in Singapore would be a long time from now.

Most of the Magic Shows in Singapore is made for Church or Hmm, Charity Event (Which is rare) So, it have to depend on mouth of words. I also know of Magic of Love through Friends.

Shows Like Lee Asher or some other magicians, most of the time they will go through adveristing by SAM, if i not wrong. Gordon will know more.
