I personally feels that that particular tricks will require heavy set up. So even if you learn it, i dun think you will be able to put into practical use, so even if it is release, better spend the money on other stuffs.. :)

skyweb - December 25, 2005 04:24 PM (GMT)
Oh ok. Thanks for the suggestion.

LarryDK - December 26, 2005 06:02 AM (GMT)
Ya as Lefty have said. Most of the time, when we saw an effect, it seems very cool to be able to do it for laymen in the public. But as a magician, it is always wiser to think of it logically, and after that deciding whether you can do it in the public anot. Since they have a crew of people taking the video, it is clearly state that a set up could be made, maybe it dun require, but it could be. So think about it yourself whether it is worth it to try to get the effect.

There are certain tricks only the "heavenly kings of magic" with their
resources and backroom support teams, are able to do. I guess we
earthlings best stick to what is practical for us, and also what you can't
buy at the magic shops or over the Internet is exclusive and remain
hidden from lay magicians like us.

LarryDK - December 26, 2005 06:39 PM (GMT)
Not really truth. U have to do alot of research, (if u are a serious magic player) and then u will discover some new methods on magic and then u will be named. :)

but i guess some magic are rich mans magic, eh? :P

Is it probable that the whole trick is a setup on its own? Maybe the audience are their own people too? Seriously could not think of any other reasons, but its has a really great effect on tv thou.

Perhaps you might be interested to know, that the Cyril burgur trick MIGHT not be exclusive.
When i was in Hong Kong during June, i saw a Macdonald Advertisment featuring the same effect: producing a hamburger from a poster, and wat is left is a blank shape with black outline. To me it looks exactly the same as the 1 cyril did
I can't say for sure whether it is EXACTLY the same. Nonetheless, perhaps u might want to noe that the secret is revealed at the end of the advertisment. Not explained in words, but "actions" that strongly implies the underlying secret.

Icy.
