apparently the video is blurry.

Magicdow - January 13, 2006 05:46 AM (GMT)
Godbowen.

K of Space?

bdkbwhblk - January 13, 2006 07:30 AM (GMT)
u sang the song?

TayYH89 - January 13, 2006 08:25 AM (GMT)
This video looks pretty weird to me.
Godbowen...
K of space...
100 year old teacher...
who is in new yoke...
and
song sang by yourself... (which sounds untrue, though I'm not sure)

bigbadwolf - January 13, 2006 09:48 AM (GMT)
i believe the song is played rather than sang right?

i like the color change leh...what is it called and which material can i learn it from??? :D

Ben - January 13, 2006 10:41 AM (GMT)
Obviously he's kidding about the song sang by him and his 100 year old teacher. And I guess he deliberately made those spelling errors. I think the colour change you are refering to is Snap Change.

zzzbowenzzz - January 13, 2006 11:10 AM (GMT)
er... how is my pass, can help me rate ?/5 ? .

dtjk - January 13, 2006 11:23 AM (GMT)
This video is indeed very weird.

Besides, the video is TOO blurry to judge your pass, but the first pass you did was pretty.. suspicious. U went up and down, TWICE?..

And I dont get the hidden joke behind the 100 year old teacher. And if I were you, I'd make my video nice and professional, instead of sitting on my bed showing my beautiful toes crossed-legged.

zzzbowenzzz - January 13, 2006 11:29 AM (GMT)
LOL, better dun talk later people dun get what i mean..

Aiyo, Singapore is a FREE-Country, talk whatever you want lah.. Hahaha. I'm sure if you can put it in proper English, we'll be able to understand. :P

:D +1

First Pass:
Would have been better if you did it at the first shake

Second Pass:
A bit too much movement on the left hand

Snap Change:
Nicely Executed

Overall, i felt that the pass was done too abruptly, losing the smoothness of the sleight. It should not be rushed. I feel that a pass should also look smooth and not just fast.

In addition, You right hand pinky should not be erhmmm, should i say stand to, when you execute the pass.

LarryDK - January 13, 2006 04:06 PM (GMT)
Hmm like what andy have said. I feel that your pass is too stiff. You tried to do it quickly, telling the fact to the rest that you are hiding something.

So practise more ba. I always practise it damn slow, so slow that i can see how the layers are moving to each other. When you do it long enough, u realise that pass is not about speed, its about how well u make ppl think you only squaring the deck up, so the slower you go, the more natural you become.

My point of view la. As for your snap change, y not try to shake the card and effect the change than moving ur other hand forward to do the effect. Do a fast shake and slow down the shake, maybe it looks better, or its juz me.

:)

i give the first pass 0/5. Simply cos it could have been done by any layman who thinks carefully.

the 2nd one was rather fast...

and the colour change's ok.

These sort of vids remind me of Sankey's description of magicians who love the attention and thrill of getting away with the pass in Sankeytised. -_-

i dun think layman would see what i doing for the first pass, they will only just feel something weird why i shake 2 time.

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of magic?

I mean if they knew or suspect you to be doing something, its a totally different experience as compared to feeling that something impossible has taken place. The astonishment factor is totally different and defintetly diminished.

I mean, if I didn't bother with this suspicious factor, I could always during an effect turn my back to them, blatantly look at their card, turn back, and reveal it to them. They wouldn't know what i am doing with my back to them, but they would definitely suspect that i was doing something. How magical would that be?

heartsofclubs - January 17, 2006 06:06 AM (GMT)
just wondering..

Who is the guy at the start? was he singing? or saying something?

thanks,
Chris

heartsofclubs - January 17, 2006 06:15 AM (GMT)
haha this is hilarious.

Esp the last part.

No insults i actually like it alot.

First was on the K of space.. i was like lol..

then later on in the effect the K of space actually appeared. i was like.. oH! rofl. very cute vid..

then the last part! the grandmother!? -_-"" hhaha..

refine the english if it's not part of the vid for it's purpose of language.

I really like it.. well done for your hardwork.

farbird - January 17, 2006 08:52 AM (GMT)
I feel the pass should be done with more arms than pure pass...

more fluid motions to bring deck near to spectators will help..
