does anyone have any magnetic coins? or like know of a place to get them?
im interested in getting some... preferably in local currency :X
actually im quite interested in getting any g***** coins in local currency..

hi, umm try collector's shops, those that sell coins, or flea markets... look for old singapore coins... should be steel, i cant remember the date... sorry thats all i can tell you :)
ps us a magnet to test if its steel or not :)

That really depends. If i can do effects which i being thought of, i would be considering for sure even if its USD$100

I thought it was the old 5 cent coins that are made of cobalt.
But will you be able to make them magnetised permanently?

sorry to dig up a old thread, but i was wondering if magnetic singapore coins exist. although the above replies seem to say that 1c or 5c coins are, but ALL the 1c and 5c coins that i have in my house aren't. wierd.
if there isn't, are there methods to make coins magnetic? anyone tried something like that before?

Yes, some of the old one cent coins can be attracted by magnets. I have alot of 1 cent coins, but only 3 of them can be attracted by magnets. They are very useful.
