That is type of magic performance known as manipulation acts. In this case, it's cigarettes manipulations.
I don't know what video teaches cigarettes manipulations, if there's any at all. You might have to refer to books for it.
McBride has some videos for cards manipulations which might interest you if you are interested in manipulations acts..

cadbury, everyone is giving you some really good pointers, but please dun just wait to be fed.
The moves Cyril used are not necessarily his own, these are cigarette manipulation moves which he put together into his routine.
If you are really interested, start by looking up the resources that they have told you about. ANd don't worry about doing Cyril's moves. He surely didn't start with the full routine in mind already. Start with the basics 1st, as Cyril did.

yeah i'm looking it up already... :P thanks everyone

Is there any things that MUST be in a routine??? eg: linking rings, card manipulations, ball mani. , stuff like that ???
farbird - February 15, 2006 07:46 AM (GMT)
Learn the basics
Piece them together and they become a routine..
eg.
I recently picked up the effect known as PK touches by Banachek.
Prior to doing the PK touch, to add in drama, I did a card routine called "Do as I do" done with 2 decks, so as to pick a spectator whom is thought to be mentally linked with me..
As for cigarette magic, I like to do a simple vanish followed by my own version of voodoo ash..
Main thing about doing a routine,
make sure you have something to follow up...
Never do a simple routine and stop there..
Coz when u stop, the audience start to think and try to crack the effect u had just performed.
However, if u continue to perform a chain of routines [smoothflowing ], they will not have a chance to think and when after the entire flow, its hard to them to decipher as they are confused between the exact routines of the entire performances.

I was trying to watch the vid recently, but realised that it has been removed. Anyone know where I can find the vid?
EDIT: Or any other vid from this series of magic shows.

Yo Cad! ;)
you can try Mullica Expert Cig Manipulations and Tarbell Course in Magic, I remember reading one of the move in that book.
But Cyril just touches the surface of cig manipulation (it still look good!) you got to see Mullica do his thing. He swallows them...
