last night's one....blown away!! i love the arm twisting one... but i feel that blane's version is better.... blane's version has marks on his arms when he shows it to the specs!! cool yeh!! i cant wait for the episode where he levitates the ba kua! haha dam cute!!

only one trick was old...if im not wrong.... the arm one, but still cool, haha... creepy and yet cool!!

the only thing that dissapointed me was the bill changing effect J.B did... makes the singaporeans loose face... the woman tried to snatch the bills from him....

hmm..some are really disappointing trick

e.g the one where chris korn pour water into his hands and produce a bunch of $1 coins. (those guys who watch will know what i mean)

and the one at raffles hotel, chris korn's hands were shaking so much..nervous? or the air-con in the hotel is too cold?

but there are still some good moments.

e.g the hand twisting illusion, the break arm illusion and of course the Sentosa card trick.

good show overall, although a bit short. (only 30mins) but surely there are more street magic than mindfreak.

I have to say I quite liked the episode. Their performances were a lot better than the American Mondo Magic episodes. I hope they will continue to improve on this quality over the next few weeks.

I started watching at the coin bending part so I don't know how much I missed. The effects were simple, but effective. Off the top of my head:

Bending Coin
Bill Switch
Hundy 500
Water to Coins (nothing wrong with this. I thought the effect was appropriate)
Copper Silver with watch steal (though the watch is already gone when the segment starts. Would have been nice to see which context he lifted it in).
Arm Twisting

For the posters asking for the name of the card effect JB Benn performed, why? Develop your own method using what you know. Don't know enough? Read more. I would hate to see this become a typical effect performed, just like ACR has become.

Fun to watch. Catch it next week if you can. Aloy has already posted the repeat schedules in the first post.

I actually prefer the original series and i thought they were much better there.

In the singapore episode so far, a few effects were done by Blaine in his 1st 2 TV shows, the magicians looked nervous and the spectators' reactions were like " oh...okaaaay" .

The bartender didnt even flinch when Chris Korn made the drink/punch appear !!?? what the heck..

ya..the bartender was oblivious when his card was shown.

he should at least show some reactions in front of the camera! :lol:

yeh korn was shaking... but we cant blame him.... we also shake when we perform... umm when we are nervous... :P human reaction...

I think otherwise,I thought that they were too rude.And I found out how bad our singaporean accent sounded when compared with an american accet,they might just think we have poor english...

i remembered a line by chris korn at the raffles hotel "3 of loves..in America it's known as the 3 of hearts."

i was feeling kinda disgraced.. :(

by the way, about the 8 s'pore to 4 s'pore to jack of hearts trick.. i think maybe its a original trick from JB benn, since he told the lady he performed it to that he came up with it.. haha
