Title: Different Brands/types Of Cards Used.
Description: what are those and where to get them?

bigbadwolf - February 26, 2006 08:16 AM (GMT)
Hi everybody!

After viewing a number of tricks, flourish and manipulation videos, I've noticed that beside the common brands of playing card (Bikes and Tallys). there are a few others that I don't recognize.

So I thought of consolidating a list of reviews for playing cards.

e.g Tally Hos what are the Pros and Cons, cheapest place to get them, pricing etc.

I'm an amateur to this so I hope the seniors and more experienced one can help me out.

Thank U Thank U... :) :!!:

tallys are better than bikes for flourishing coz of the finish of the card.. but frankly i cant tell, i use whatever pack i have to flourish..

cons.. not sure.. prolly a tad more expensive? or the same price as bikes.. i forgot.. long time since i bought a tally ho.

place to get: Golden landmark.. cheap

yeah..but i don't want to be accused as a thread digger :P

but its been a long time since this was discussed so why not start a fresh one..and we can consolidate a list so in the future, can be taken as reference for the newcomers too.

and by the way, E is marketing another new product. The Bicycle Ultra Deck, I wonder if you guys heard about it. Apparantly its a normal Bicycle deck with card quality exactly like the Tiger, Viper and Ghost.

And it only comes in Red. They are in the midst of production already. And keep in mind they are also pushing out a Red Gaff Deck to pair this Ultra Deck.

(look at post #38 by Brad Christian)

sound interesting :!!:

Its not exactly out yet. It might be a bit more costly than normal bikes...

Daraketh - February 26, 2006 12:59 PM (GMT)
it will cost more for sure..

but i heard they are only making it in 1 color.. most probably red..

im actually quite contented with the normal bikes actually..

bigbadwolf - February 26, 2006 01:01 PM (GMT)
i only want their gaffs..

E is so good in marketing their products -_-

Cadbury - February 26, 2006 01:14 PM (GMT)
Yup, their marketing is quite effective and aggressive. Advertising is one of the most effective ways to get customers. Brad Christian's personal replies could be a drawing point too.

Tallys are better than bikes for one reason.

The stock is better. Does not hold crimps easily.

Well, personally I use Tally Ho Decks for my magic because the backs looks simpler and looks more like normal cards to laymen. And also it allows magicians to have a suggestion that I am not using gimmicked cards (most gimmicked cards are made with bike backs).

I've been there today. The Bee WPT deck is out-of-stock. Only the white WPT decks is available. Need to wait till it's restocked.

bigbadwolf - March 1, 2006 12:50 PM (GMT)

TayYH89 - March 2, 2006 06:37 AM (GMT)
Those in the picture you posted are sold out. Those are the WPT Bee decks. There are normal WPT decks too. For these, only the white back one is available.

bigbadwolf - March 3, 2006 11:31 AM (GMT)
ultra bicycle?

isn't that the one that E's is planning to release?

TayYH89 - March 3, 2006 01:27 PM (GMT)
Yeah, it has not come out yet, hence the price has not been decided yet. (Unless there are insider information.)

For WPT? It should be $7.

bigbadwolf - March 4, 2006 01:26 AM (GMT)
Those who used the WPT series of cards, how is it different from bikes?

Don't compare it with Tallys, i know they are the best.

By the way, i read from somewhere that a deck of Jerry Nuggets' can last for 6-8 years of usage.

is it true??

If I am not mistaken bee are specially used by brad chiristian in his magic. but saw reviews elsewhere that the quality aint as good as a TH.

Anyway, if one have the money, just get a black tiger ver 2, saw the reviews saying that its quality is even better than tally ho. Anyway, is that true? Anyone to refute or ascertain this review?

If not too much time has passed, please edit and add on your post rather than put a new post.
