Hi, i was wondering if any of you guys have read this book. Is the book as good as what it claims to be? In your opinion, for those who have it, do you think this book is worthy as compared to 13 steps to mentalism? Many thanks in advance.

13 steps is classic -- it deals with fundamental stuff that u ought to know, in my opinion (not necessary easy, however)

Explicit Content, however, is filled with Sean's thought and "love" for psychokinesis (PK). It has some nice thought on the topic.

Bear in mind though that PK is just a part of mentalsim, so don't expect Explicit content to have any mind reading, prediction .... :D

13 steps to mentalism is a sure buy thing in my upcoming wishlist. I wasn't too sure about the other though. You are right in pointing out that the book touches mostly on PK. The way i read in brad (ellusionist) comment is like the book is so damn good. Anyway, thanks for your comment. Recently, i have started reading some memory book by harry lorayne(you can find them in library or kino) and i think the book is worth reading for those who want to strenghten their memory. It was also recommended by richard osterlind in his mind mysteries too and that is why i bought the book.
Just a note for those who really is going into mentalism and learning some memory system. :D

explicit content is a nice book with many ideas on how to present, and also on how to b**** things. Don expect a miracle as in something that is impromptu tho. You need to prepare :)

IMO, you cant compare 13 steps with explicit content. 13 steps is a rounded course on mentalism, while explicit content is an indepth exploration of the PK chapter in 13 steps :)

Ellusionist always has great marketing, but in this case, this book is quite worth a look if you have the time

Harry Loryane's memory books are great too. I read 2 of them, but cant for the love of my life remember their titles :g:

I've been really curious about that book for a while now. Appreciate if you could write a review on the practicality and quality of the effects in that book.

Thanks.

a quick review..

The book itself explains the method deployed to achieve the effects..

there are also other tools required...

Key benders, Sean have some new pointers on how to do it his way..

convincing.... thats the key word, the performer must be convincing enough..

Some effects will make the key or fork look hot and glowing red in colour as u bend it.... that idea is smart... though not cheap...

Ring bender is quite a feat...

I only flipped thru some pages... never really performed it yet...

but i guess same thing applies....
practice...

Explicit Content relys heavily on set up. Alot of the things would be really crazy for stage performances, but I don't really see it going anywhere because of all that set-up required. Some of the effects CAN be done close up, like the key bender and...well i guess the spoon bend where he makes the spoon glow. The teaching is alright I guess, slightly below average but still do-able.

The bender that he teaches you to make is so easy to build and it's pretty practical, I'm pretty happy with that. He teaches a very nice coin bend in it as well, theoratically it's really visual. Theoratically because I've never seen it done. Glacius is a little...uhh...dodgey. He teaches some plastic bends as well, nothing you wouldn't be able to figure out though.

Overall the book I'm happy with the book, I wish they'd go a little more indepth though.

Oh and, Farbid this has always frustrated me but I'm assuming theres a particular reason people do this. Why do people put '...' in the place of a fullstop. There's nothing wrong with it but it's so weird =s. Nothing just wondering =D. Take care guys.
