Okay so I just started practicing again after like a 3 month hiatus. I used to perform Looy Simonoff's Flippant Change a lot but 3 months of not practicing does a lot to a man. So now I have a lot of trouble cleanly performing the flip. Whenever I jerk my hand down the card(s) either only go halfway or fall off the top of the deck entirely. Also it doesn't look as good as it should even with the appropriate cover. So if you guys have any tips/suggestions on how to make the move work (without exposing the move as much as possible) I'd appreciate it. David Acer has some nice work using the change that I really want to use.

is this the one where u jerk your hand and the card flip over automatically?
flippant eh...
Try while jerking your hand down, turn your wrist clockwise 30 degrees.
if still not sure, PM me...

You might already know this but this move is easier with more cards as it has more inertia.
Well using it as a colour change feels very flimsy. But nevertheless, i use my thumb to KINDA hold the card back as i do the move so that the card will rotate.
Hope that helps.
There's the usual snapping action in front of the deck as you do the change as executed by Greg Wilson; that provides some cover.
The wrist snap - try getting it as sharp as possible. I hardly lower my arm; it's the wrist that does it for me. The fingers also open and close rapidly at the moment of the move. That will aid is squaring the cards as they land.
