Victor.G - March 10, 2006 01:36 PM (GMT)
Anyone has any suggestions to stop sweaty palm?

I have a bad problem of that....

LarryDK - March 10, 2006 02:14 PM (GMT)
Nope, there is no way to stop sweaty palm, unless u go for laser operation to be made into ur sweat palm.

In general, try to do in air con room, and powder your hands before doing magic, it makes ur hand drier. :)

buy a deck of ramblers...they are kinda water resistant i think.=)

Victor.G - March 11, 2006 03:04 PM (GMT)
Do water resistant decks feel different?

hellfire - March 12, 2006 03:09 PM (GMT)
ok...i read the cover again and its supposedly water proof coated or something like that
aluminium and stuff
here's the link
http://www.nls.physics.ucsb.edu/%7Enathanb/cards/ra.html

but the coated sides when used too regularly..it wears off a little
the feel is not very smooth.so i figure fanning it will be a prob.but u can use it for cuts and displays etc.

hellfire - March 13, 2006 08:25 AM (GMT)

LarryDK - March 13, 2006 10:57 AM (GMT)
Ya, it depends how serious ur sweaty palm is, to a certain extent, it could be controlled using lotion, onli control, it cant be cured.

If you wan to be forever taken off this burden, u still need to go for operation. Dun worry about ur palm la, it wont affect u much.

For most, sweaty palms are just a certain phase in puberty.

Yeah, if you're aged 12- 17, chances are, you might have sweaty palms. You'll lose your sweaty palms when you grow older.

Toss a bit of baby powder on your hands to control the sweat.

Usually I'll keep a towel nearby to dry my hands after every trick, troublesome but I have to live with it. And for people like me, it's hereditary, even my mom has it so I can never get it away...I wonder if there's cream sold to reduce the sweating?

iamthewalrus - May 1, 2006 03:24 PM (GMT)
But seriously, is it serious? As in dripping wet?

One of my guys in the army had such a condition. It's called palmay hyperhidrosis, and LarryDK's right. I found out for him the traditional treatment is an operation in the armpit, called Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy.

Lol...not that standard yet.. But can be very slimy at times. Hands also tend to get very sticky after it dries....

<Aaron> - May 2, 2006 02:27 PM (GMT)
i have found that the more you try to think about the palms, the more it becomes wet! when you try to dry your hand by wiping profusely, it creates more friction so more sweat comes out! ^_^

Use a towel. Won;t the cream make it slimier than when it gets onto your card, won't it be like putting oily fingers onto card? B)

wash ur hand wheneva ur hands get sticky. or there is another way for me.

use a wet tissue and clean ur hand, well it might works for u.

wash your hand before practicing or whatever
have a wet towel beside you everytime you practice or performing
when your hand is sweaty, just wipe it
you would want your palm to be a bit moist, not swaety, oilly or wet
