Not that there's ANYTHING VERY WRONG about figuring stuff out, but to call yourself an INTERMEDIATE MAGICIAN through figuring stuff out makes me want to... never mind.

Notice they are all Ellusionist stuff. Probably went to Google and typed "I want to be David Blaine" and out comes Ellusionist's oh-so-great advertisement. :D

i have been in magic for 1.5 yrs
sorry for any mis conseption

i spent 2 days to practice mercury and 0.5 hrs everyday and i practise revolution all most the whole time in school

guys i know how to do the classic pass acr shapeshifter, and other stuff

guys i came hear after reading 3 or 4 (not sure) books on magic,
1 on how to do and the other on showmanship, i have a com science teacher of mine who aroused this interest in me.

guys please do not mistake me please, i did not come here to fish for methods or anything believe me guys .

Urgh, makes me sick... are you one the magician's side or the heckler's side? just because you can watch the videos over and over again dose not mean you have to take advantage of them.

I think there're more and more CLOWNS around nowadays than Magicians.

There are 3 types of people,
- Someone who loves to SEE magic, and be entertained
- Someone who loves to LEARN magic and entertain others
- Someone who loves to HECKLE magic, instead of being entertained, they crack their heads to figure out how its done.

How sad. Anyway, good job on entertaining us on with your intro, clowns. It was hilarious. :lol:

phsycofreak has just had a 2 weeks suspension. And he is coming back apologetic. So let's give him a chance ok?

I believe he has some of these misconceptions because he didn't had the chance to hang ard with some magicians and pick up some positive traits and attitudes. I believe i remember some of the regulars in the forum today have had some problems in the beginning when you 1st joined. Some of us even started out as (gasps) hecklers . :D
And many of us can remember (myself including) that in our very early beginning days thought that we already knew all there is to know. ;)
You have to know quite a bit to realise how much there is you don't know ;)
This seems especially pronounced with Ellusionist/Penguin educated ones. That's what the forums are for, to bring back the "lost" ones.

Anyways, let's give him a chance and hopefully he will learn a thing or 2 between the difference between magic and heckling, and the difference between the techniques and methods.

physco, there is a great difference between knowing how to do an effect and being able to do it. You should come to a meeting sometimes, there are plenty of forumites who are about your age.

And your com science teacher is a very cool guy B) You should try to hang out with him more, i think he can teach you LOTS ;)

Just to let you know that,

Knowing The tricks yourself does not make you a good magician. You have to perform good. Your Acting, your connections between the spectator has to be close, your misdirections, your confidence and many things. Not just knowing stuff without buying them.

So lets say you know all the tricks in this word but lack of confidence, would you be able to perform? Lack of connections, would the spectator be able to understand what you are doing?
