yujie here. 22 male, currently in NTU, specialising banking & finance. 4 yrs in magic aldy. fav tricks: misled, pen through dollar, floating cigar, crazy man handcuffs. has given my word to morphine that i will perform for charity soon.....hahaha.

currently busy with studies, so have to put magic aside for a while. btw, who are currently working in the banking industry? like to seek some advice.

Welcome to the group yujie, good to have you with us. I look forward to performing with you in the near future :)
In fact, i have a show tmrw (or later) for an old folks home. I usually do kids show so I'm actually a bit lost now. Have to overcome the language barrier so have to choose tricks that doesn't require much explaination and platter....hmmmm....
And I haven't been to the location before so i dunno the environment and settings at all....this is as close to impromptu as a performance can get..haha. Not to mentioned being unreherased. Damn this is good be tough.....

So many of my friends are in the banking sector i lost count...what kinda advice are you looking for?

but this is just my dream lah......actually i have something in my mind aldy........i want to go into trade settlements operations(back office) in a bank, preferably foreign bank....anyone working in d banking sector, and like to add his or her two cents worth?

I'm not in banking sector but a lot of my friends are. We usually will go for a mid week drink down at boat quay quite frequently so if you are really interested, you can join and ask them abt it? All diff banks i think, StandChart, Citi, Swiss, and dunno what else. But they do whine a lot mid week LOL.
Anyway, the general feeling i get, after sitting in their countless whining, is that you will be hard pressed to decide what area of banking you WANT to be in. It's more of what you GET.
