Like David Blaine, Criss Angel uses tricks, camera angles, misdirection and illusions in his tricks. Although i feel Criss Angel's one are more visual than David Blaine's.

David Blaine's magic is like bringing the magic to the community. Mostly his tricks are available for purchase.

Criss Angel's magic always freaks people out (thus his tv show name, Mindfreak :lol: )

another freaky magician is Cyril....both of these magicians' effects are crazy.

but i don't think they are Satan's followers...they just have a tad much more creativity than us that's all. ^_^

if people, like your friends or relatives, ever comment that criss angel and david blaine probaly pray to the devil or something, just let them think that way. i think it wouldn't be magical if we were to say, "no, of course they aren't. i know how he did that!" or any other stuff like that. we should preserve the image they have portrayed, for they are that good. ^_^

the introduction is him swallowing a signed coin. he drags it under his skin frm under his sleeve, towards his wrist. he then takes a pen knife and cuts open the skin. he proceeds to take the signed coin. there's blood also. that one was sick. makes me think of hand mutilation :rolleyes:

the only thing i like about him is his eyes. notice the really dark rings around them? its either really good makeup, or 10 years without sleep.

some of my friends says he's like a cult member or something. also claims that his brothers look the same. lol.

Yeah. Everyone's entitled to their own style. Blaine's the street guy, Copperfield always has hot girl volunteers on his shows. Some more that time he got that Claudia Schiffer girlfriend some more.

And everyone (laypeople) always talks about how ALL MAGICIANS WORSHIP THE DEVIL. So Criss Angel pushes this stereotype further! People see him and say: wah lau, that one surely devil worshipper.

And his name (that Angel bit) may confuse people who think he's a Satanist. But hey, Satan/Lucifer was supposed to be a fallen angel too! So Criss Angel may want to emulate the Criss-Crossed Angel Lucifer who fell from grace. That adds to the devil connection.

His real name is Christopher Sarantakos anyway.

Well Criss Angel is probably one of the best TV magicians that I have ever seen. Not so much because he can fly or stuff like that, but mostly because of the way he structures his show.

He does a couple of small tricks, still pretty good though, then a big trick. But what most people fail to realise is that those maybe 5? minutes he spends doing the big tricks isn't the whole trick.

The entire show is the trick. He gets his brother, director, girlfriend, whatever, to talk about how dangerous or hard the trick is. It might not be hard, but these guys are trying to make you think it is throughout the whole episode, so when he DOES perform the trick, everyone belives that it is completely impossible. Thats how he gets around tricking magicians as well.

So no...I REALLY don't think he is a satanist. Jesus...we're turning on one of out own =o! Haha no I'm just kidding.

I think you are confusing black magic with our white magic? There is a fine line...

I don't think Criss Angel is a satanist because if you look carefully at his tricks, they can all be explained by using white magic. The really impossible ones maybe camera tricks?

He is just creating a satanic persona on screen to help people believe his tricks and not try too hard to find out his methods. It is just like how magicians must put up a front that exudes confidence and claim to be able to do just about anything. If you look unsure of yourself, your spec will suspect that you are lying and try to make life difficult for you.

I think that Criss uses Black magic

Blaine uses White magic

And i was thought by a worshiper of a Red Magician. B)
