there the top 4 designs. im sticking to aloy 2. because its gonna be on a polo tee. and if its on a polo tee, i suggest we switch the placing the of the words the pickupline behind. then the sign to the front. yea.

Kazekage - March 26, 2006 04:13 PM (GMT)
I'll stick to Aloy's second design too!
Is it possible to switch to a tee?

The picture of Aloy's first design is 'disturbing' LOL :off:

bigbadwolf - March 26, 2006 04:22 PM (GMT)
paradoxt's one for me...

is this poll for real? winner will get their design as the official SMC T-shirt?

lukold - March 26, 2006 05:30 PM (GMT)
hmm. yea i think it will eventually become the design for the smc t-shirt.

Aloy - March 26, 2006 06:58 PM (GMT)
Woah....

Serious guys? I had actually meant the 2nd design as a joke. As in like, a bad pick up line or something. :g:

Is it too erm....offensive?

And before you vote for anything, remember this is not just a cool design thing. You have to consider if you really will WEAR it out into the streets.
Meaning it's not just something you think is nice/cool/cute. Consider if you really WILL wear it.

That is if we manage to get thru to the printing part.

Thanks very much lukold for following up on this thing that has been going on and off for so long. Kudos mate B)
But don't get your hopes too high yet. We don't know if there will be enough people interested to actually get it printed or not.

Actually, an alternative would be to make it into some kind of iron-on? Because it's very difficult to get enough numbers for different sizes to get it printed. Is it possible to turn the design into an iron-on? Then everyone can buy their own t-shirt and choose their own preferences/colours and we still have a t-shirt.
Just an option for you guys to consider.

vin87 - March 26, 2006 08:02 PM (GMT)
Haha its not, its kind of funky! so the votes really count ? or why dont you guys count how many people want for each design? so everyone can have a design that he/she likes. win-win =)

Droicut - March 27, 2006 01:45 AM (GMT)
I actually like the 2nd one.. because of the really good innuendo. :P

Perhaps a pair of inverted commas on Magic Wand would make it funnier... (Would you like to see my "Magic Wand"? ) :P

I think the words may be too obscene for some people, especially in conservative Singaporeans. It may give the wrong idea too.
And Droicut, you are making it even worse. :!!:

paradoxt design >I like this design but can we had the collar on it and bigger font size will be nice. :P

bryanne - March 27, 2006 07:58 AM (GMT)
I dont mind paradox's or yaz's design ^_^ , I think Aloy's one is abit weird. .Maybe when the results are all in someone can come up with another thread(not spam) for the collection or something. This might get interesting. :D

lukold - March 27, 2006 08:54 AM (GMT)
Hmm, maybe we can make it a sticky and see who agrees in makin the smc t-shirt..

bigbadwolf - March 27, 2006 09:08 AM (GMT)
er...when is the closing date?

zib - March 27, 2006 11:53 AM (GMT)
just what i think.. paradox's design is kind of empty.

aloy2 is creative! i think a magician's shirt should have that kind of line. maybe not that one(although i think its nice) but definitely something along that "line" (get it?)

Paradoxt - March 27, 2006 12:51 PM (GMT)
I agree that a line or caption would be interesting. But i would choose yaz's design over aloy's 2nd design as the line " Wanna see my magic wand? " would be funny but would come off as lewd , provocative or offensive to people that have little or no sense of humour. There are also alot of people in Singapore that are easily offended.

Just my 2 cents. :g: No offense to Aloy .

Aloy - March 27, 2006 01:43 PM (GMT)
Like i said, I had meant the 2nd design as a joke. B)
I was surprised so many took to it.

But having said that, I would actually buy and wear a t-shirt like that if I were to see it in the shops. :D No kidding....i would actually wear it..

But i question whether it's a good idea to peg the smc logo to it :P

lukold - March 27, 2006 02:57 PM (GMT)
Hmm, aloy. It seems that quite a few have taken liking to it.. unless you really want it off the list.. we can always re-poll.

Victor.G - March 27, 2006 03:04 PM (GMT)
Paradox's design is quite good leh.... its simple and effective

lukold - March 27, 2006 03:28 PM (GMT)
I think aloy's 2nd design is better because it actually has a catch phrase that would attract attention as well as the logo being distinct .
Immagine, someone'd look at the catch phrase and then definitely walk up to you to have a better look in front, then they would notice the singaporemagiccircle logo. well thats just my 2cents. it might vary >.<

Exactly. Unlike the magic wand shirt >.<

Just reminds me of those parody star bucks shirts that go star F@#%$

yaz - March 27, 2006 05:08 PM (GMT)
I found the magic wand design kinda offensive too. It's different really if you are walking around with it compared to when you are performing with it. Also, Singaporeans are still very conserve, people would probably look at you and say 'sheesh... no shame.' (My mother always say that :D) That leads to unwanted attention.

lukold - March 28, 2006 01:17 AM (GMT)
Perhaps our views on the catch phrase is different. Nowadays, teens are practically more open minded. As you said - "mother" probably 2 generations ahead of us are used to the conservative lifestyle they use to live. For me i normally perform to teens or the less grumpy kind of ppl as in those people who actually wouldnt shoo u away when u approach them with a flag day tin can. LOL. In anycase its just My view. anyone care to share their thoughts on this matter?

Magicdow - March 28, 2006 01:45 AM (GMT)
I guess I belong to the "Older" generation. I think its kind of rude to wear that kind of T-shirt but still no big deal. I wouldn't wear it and if I saw people wearing it, I'd probably just shrug it off.

lukold - March 28, 2006 03:22 AM (GMT)
Seems like quite a few disagree on the design. Aloy, what do you think?

yaz - March 28, 2006 04:16 AM (GMT)
Don't take this the wrong way, but magic is for everyone to enjoy right? I feel it's kinda wrong to just perform to just 1 group of people.

xuanweng - March 28, 2006 04:35 AM (GMT)
For me i find it quite the magic wand quite offensive. Later police arrest you when you approach people on the streets...

lukold - March 28, 2006 05:59 AM (GMT)
" Later police arrest you when you approach people on the streets..."
Now thats just abit too far-fetched. Or was it meant as a joke? hmm.

"Don't take this the wrong way, but magic is for everyone to enjoy right? I feel it's kinda wrong to just perform to just 1 group of people."

oh nono, i usually start off by approaching teens, then gathering a crowd regardless of the agegroup of the crowd. well that is if im wearing that shirt. Somehow i agree on the shirt being slightly offensive to some people. But based on the votes, im certain most wouldnt mind that catch phrase.

Aloy - March 28, 2006 06:07 AM (GMT)
Maybe we can come up with another clever/funny catchphrase that we can use instead of that one?

back to drawing board...

lukold - March 28, 2006 06:52 AM (GMT)
"If i teach you what im doing, i'll have to kill you"
LOL.

zib - March 30, 2006 12:27 PM (GMT)
was that supposed to be another joke... because i don't mind having that on the shirt, either.

bryanne - March 30, 2006 12:41 PM (GMT)
What it means by "want to see my wagic wand?" I still dont get it , is it suppose to be like that?.Aloy can be a designer for Nike already.lol

hellfire - March 31, 2006 12:48 PM (GMT)
i think aloys designs are nice=)
why not get yaz's design for the front of the shirt and aloy2 for the back.looks cool to be..what do you guys think?

I think Aloy's first design is very funky.Second design not sure because I dont understand what it means.

Dragon - March 31, 2006 02:33 PM (GMT)
I like Aloy 1 Design.
Firstly, it's simple yet meaningful. There are limited people out there who knows what or who magi-s are. Think about it. Secondly, the model has a freaking hot bod. Yes.

Dragon.

bryanne - March 31, 2006 02:50 PM (GMT)
Aloy's first design is for girls, LOL.the sleeves are super short. For those who choose Aloy's first design are crazy , lol.

We're polling on the designs here, don't mind the sleeves or anything dude..
Just imagine its a polo-t.. ^_^

hihs - April 1, 2006 06:16 AM (GMT)
well...

i like the 1st pic. simple and cool.

aloy 1st design is pretty much design for Ning i suppose. LOL

Dragon - April 1, 2006 03:43 PM (GMT)
I presume the sex of the models are not true reflection of the real polo tee? Yep. I still think the word ' Magi' is cool.

lukold - April 1, 2006 04:42 PM (GMT)
I propose we take paradoxt's design and redesign a catchphrase behind. anyone agree?

yaz - April 1, 2006 04:50 PM (GMT)
Yeah I agree. Redesign paradox's design with a fancy catchphrase we can all agree on. I can do the design if you wanna :D.

Aloy - April 1, 2006 08:34 PM (GMT)
Redesign then. I'm starting a new thread. Closing this one.
