sand king - April 1, 2006 02:40 PM (GMT)
hi im not the one selling this, im helping EMM to post. so anything just post here or Pm EMM, Thank you.

Here is what EMM has to say:

user posted image
1st Picture "Another page seems to be printed on it"
user posted image
2nd Picture "The book has been autographed to my name.If they don't mind they might wanna consider buying
user posted image
3rd Picture "Made me very unhappy. While I was browsing through the book, I found some stains on this particular page. I tried to use a Beautex wet tissue to get rid of it but I nearly made a hole in the pages."
user posted image
fourth picture "when I collected this book, there was a dent on the top of the book. Looks like it was dropped on the floor"

I ordered this book through a friend for $150 inclusive of his service. I am selling this for $130. I just got it yesterday and it is almost as good as new if it weren't for that stupid mistake I made (which was using a wet tissue to try to remove the stains). Besides the damge I made, the other defults were there when I collected it.

Price is negotiatable, I am selling this book as it is not perfect.

Thank you for viewing. If you are interested please contact EMM via Pm or reply here.

Hi guys. I collected this book yesterday. Ordered it with some guys from this board. Hmm... Jaspas's one of them who ordered it with me so I think he can vouch for me that it's almost as good as new (IF IT WEREN'T FOR THAT STUPID MISTAKE!).

I know that the book has been autographed to my name and damaged, but if those of who care more about the content rather than how it looks then you should consider buying it from me.

The book is 99% good. I am compulsive, I can't stand it when the book isn't cool. So.. please think about this. I am willing to reduce the price.

Check out www.flourishman.com for it's table of contents. There are many things to learn from this book. But I just can't stand it. Thank you.

Funny... mine came in Good condition. :X .... But well... EMM, I can also help you prove that it was brand new. :D I'm one of those who ordered with you and Jaspas. B)

EMail Jery about the defects on the page where 2 pages seem to be printed on it and he will mail you another copy for free. Of course, you have to prove it to him but i think your photos should be suffice.

Jerry is a nice guy and would mail another copy free of charge if there is any major printing problems found in the book.

That way, you would have 2 copies, one for bashing around :)

Mine had some minor defects too and Jerry was kind enough to offer to mail me another copy. However, despite knowing that I could have sold one and kept the new copy, i declined Jerry's offer and decided to keep my copy instead.

Reason is because it was not a major defect and printing such a big book does have some problem copies from time to time.

As for the damaged spine, I think its really on luck there due to shipping. Mine did not come unblemished too :(

Vic - April 2, 2006 09:01 AM (GMT)
Well.. But if theres anyone who wants to buy this, its really worth it. $180 book being sold for $130... Its really a steal. Well...its only a few minor defects.

TayYH89 - April 2, 2006 09:17 AM (GMT)
I can't believe that you are actually selling this brand new book.

Alexander - April 2, 2006 10:05 AM (GMT)
Yea... when you're a rich, it doesnt matter.

Sighs.

EMM - April 2, 2006 12:14 PM (GMT)
I'm not rich and I didn't expect to sell this book at all. But I can't stand that damage.

I believe it's a steal at $130 if you do not care about the autograph or the damages. You can still learn everything there is from there. It's brand new. Almost.

Vic - April 2, 2006 01:09 PM (GMT)
Yeah...

(Perfectionist.)

:ph43r: :ph43r: :ph43r: :ph43r: :ph43r:

LOL. Yeah. No one interested? Eh... Its really a steal for $130 bucks... Autographed yet still...

Why not contact Jerry and ask for a replacement since you have proof of the defects? I am sure he will replace one at no extra cost.

Unless of course he has already done so and you are selling the spare one now

Just keep it and bash around and store the other carefully :)

Just an advice, its really really hard to get a perfect unblemished book, especially since you are shipping it over from overseas.

fume - April 2, 2006 02:56 PM (GMT)
I think the fact that it's autographed to your name makes it difficult to sell.. I would have bought it if it's not there

jonatha - April 2, 2006 03:41 PM (GMT)
you should just get him to replace it for you and you can save the $50

EMM - April 3, 2006 08:08 AM (GMT)
I don't think he would send me another book for free because of 1 misprinted page. I didn't tell him about this.

bigbadwolf - April 3, 2006 09:38 AM (GMT)
you might want to try to tell Jerry first.

what if he is willing to send a new copy over? woot!

give it a try.. ^_^

At most you can tell him that you'll send the damaged book BACK in exchange for another one? Postage would cost a sum but definitely not 50Bucks that you'll lose if you wanna get rid of it here. ;)

jemarcus - April 6, 2006 05:09 AM (GMT)

Yes of course, singapore currency! No RM please...

i think selling this book on a first come first served basis will help. if you have the cash in hand now, dont hesitate to PM EMM!

EMM - April 7, 2006 02:54 PM (GMT)
You know, if you were to get this book alone from Jerry's site it would be US$105 with shipping. Convert that and it would be about $180.

The lowest price I can go is $120, I can't go so low. It's $60 difference for the misprint and other damages. I think this is already a reasonable price.

why not try emailing Jerry with the problems u have? hes a real nice guy and will work something out with u.

that way, even if u sell this, u will still have one more and wont need to buy again which would be extremely costly

SHANGHAIBeN - April 7, 2006 03:15 PM (GMT)
i thought you guys buy in bulk? should be $150 per book? not 180bucks what.

Yes, I said if you got it alone it would be around that higher price. But looking at the other thread about this book, I think not many people would want to buy this book in bulk. http://forums.singaporemagiccircle.com/ind...?showtopic=3360

Just to clarify, USD to SGD is weak now, so that exchange rate is very low.
So the price in SGD will be less that $170.
Do your own conversion if you don't believe me.

Yeah, but you forgot to add in paypal and bank. My friend says it will be more. I'm not sure how much more. Otherwise how paypal earn money?

Andy - April 9, 2006 07:00 AM (GMT)
Guys, please dont use the marketplace for an arguement :)

Just for the record, PayPal does charge higher than the stated exchange rate in the site given, but they mainly earn money off the person receiving and not the person sending by taking a percentage off the received amount.

Anyway, all the best for the sales of this book

EMM - April 15, 2006 11:06 AM (GMT)
Book's sold to jemarcus. Thanks guys.
