anyone use this in there fork and spoon bending routine? it looks better (thicker) and is better to use than the steel spoon that we usually use...

What is this? I havent heard of it before.

I'm not sure what you mean, but if you mean a spoon made of nickel, then:-

1) Its costly to keep performing it this way.

2) Its not common. May look gimmicky/suspicious to audience even if it isnt a gimmick. Props have to be as real & common as possible.

actually it looks better than steel spoon... steel spoon is thin and people might suspect but nickel spoons are much thicker, look like those you use in food court... it looks more normal but it is easier to perform with than steel spoon(you know what i mean ;) ) oh and a normal spoon cost $0.40 not that expensive...

actually, I don't quite get you. sorry.

Nickel spoon is too expensive, and to my point of view, the sound produced by nickel is fake. Well guys, take a metal spoon and hit the table, then imagine that the nickel spoon sound more hollow than it.

As for the pricing, then u are wrong, 1 bunch of steel spoon of 10 or 20, cost like 1:50 per bunch. So its very cheap, and behind the steel spoon is written stainless steel, what is more convicing than that.

nickel spoon are normal spoons
it is thick, like those better quality spoon
but it is so**er than steel spoons
jus wondering any of you guys uses it ;)

Nope, theres no need to. Just train ****. You do not need to bend spoons that are found in restaurants! Just normal hawker spoons.

Edited due to exposure.

well we have limited mind power  :) :D :g:

anyway the purpose of using nickel is that it looks more like a normal spoon and not like steel spoons which are so *****

Why trouble yourself to find something that 'looks' like normal spoons, when you can just use normal spoons?

I use the stainless-steel Triangle brand spoons/forks to do my routines.
Aren't they normal enough? Most kopitiams use them too!

Mystifier - April 6, 2006 08:33 AM (GMT)
Ya, the triangle brand is good. Sorry for the exposure. Was not careful.

it is good but to others, its a thin spoon and they will associate it with s*f*. using a thicker spoon to do it will make them have no doubt
