What is magic? How do u define magic? Magic and Gambling has just a thin line between them...can u say that magic is gambling and vice versa?
Well.....someone may say it's sleight of hands,some may say it's about gimmicks,or it'z all about tricks....blah blah blah...the list goes on and on!
To me,MAGIC IS AN ART and it'z the same all the other ARTS available.Be it music,be it painting or maybe carving a sculpture.You can be really good in it,but u can never master it and everytime u perform it,it will not be the same!!!Now,if you take just a minute to think,when was the first time you performed a trick and where is it? You probably won't remember it! Why? because magic has became part of your lives already without you knowing it.Same theory applies to the question of When was your plate of chicken rice? or where was your first date......bit by bit,little by little,it fuses into our daily routine,unsuspectingly.
What do u do magic for? Money?Entertainment? or just plain self satisfaction? IT DOESN'T MATTER! Just be happy when you are performing and do not convert your magic into a gambling skill! I believe you enjoy the moment when you just mastered a flourish,or when you float something in front of spectators.This small enjoyment is enough to keep you going!
To all fellow magicians out there! Be it you are new,or maybe you've been into this for years.This is your ART! Cherish this unique art of yours and take time to groom it.Not only you do not let this magic fire die down,spread the fire to others! let them enjoy the same moment we are enjoying!!
