Im 26 this year. Kinda old in this forum but completely new to magic. Was influence by a friend and now hope to use magic not only to wow people but more importantly to build self confident and presentation skills :)
Peace to all~ :ph43r:
Not SO old... B)
I remember an intro from an 86 yr old guy last year.
Anyways, I'm always happy when someone my age bracket comes in, so welcome. :)
When you say you are new to magic, are we talking about years, months, weeks, or DAYS? :g:
Not trying to put you on the spot here, just an honest question.
When you read the forums enough, you will understand why.
Some will say that they have been learning magic for about 7 weeks and proclaim themselves to be "quite knowledgable". Some will be doing it for a few years and insist that they are absolute beginners.
So.......
hmmz...ok here is a more detailed introduction.
Always has been a spectator more than a performer, magic came to me during the David Copperfield era (when channel 5 keep showing him especially on CNY). So I can only catch on Tv and I think internet doesn't even exist to me back then. On and off pick up a few effects from my friends and the very first 1 is the rubberband effect. Then...got my first TT last year but it was very under-utilised. Just performed it to my close friends (afraid of being expose :( ).
I started flourishing about 1 month ago. By that I mean practising, find the source (internet, dvd, library books etc) and understand the logic and sequence behind it. Flourishing is good because you will never get caught. Just pure hard work. Whereas performing effect to close friends, they will look at you real close ignore all distraction and just concentrate on your hands. Therefore I hope to impress them with flourishes first, show them there is nothing to expose, and move on with magic effects. :)
Sir, i am 42 this year, my son address me as old man, here i welcome you.
