Description: Who is your favorite Magician?
dry_gin - April 5, 2006 07:15 AM (GMT)
Many magicians out there. From old-school pure sleight of hand artist like the Profeesor to modern day guys like Criss Angel & Cyril Takayama. Is there any one favourite magician that you inspire and wish to follow? From his tricks to his patter to his style of clothes. etc.

WILLIAMSON!
And of cos, Tommy Wonder.
Aloy - April 5, 2006 01:17 PM (GMT)
A bit cliche...but i really like Copperfield's acts. A lot of drama mama yet all very well written.
And, Tommy Wonders. My gosh, i think seeing him live during IF Magic is a real turning point for me. B)
And then you read his book, and you get wow over all over again. :)
HarapanOng - April 5, 2006 01:40 PM (GMT)
Copperfield for presentation.
Sankey for creativity.
Joshua Jay for card material.
Greg Wilson for jokes.
And many more. That I cannot remember.

i like cyril. just love this guy, i don't know why.(but i am not gay)
i also like the way he speak japanese and english when presenting. very unique. when ever i see his videos, mostly there will be a"chio bu" in it.
hmm i wonder if cyril get his inspiration as a magician to get closer to girls? haha joking.
HarapanOng - April 7, 2006 02:09 PM (GMT)
Oh ya, cyril is good too. But i have a certain biasness towards TV magicians, because I don't really believe in what they do is for magic, and not for money.
Aight, that was utter crap. I have that biasness, but that's because what you see on TV may not be possible in real life. That's all I feel. But cyril still is damn good.
By the way, I think there is a reason why magicians always have "chio bu"s in their videos. Ask a question: You want to watch Cyril perform to a sexy 20 year old japanese lady or a a 95 year old hag?
Rhetorical.
Oh yes, one more: Daryl Martinez. I learnt a lot from his DVDs, and he is quite a good close up guy. Like his style a lot.
Doublelifter - April 7, 2006 04:14 PM (GMT)
For me without doubt is Cyril Takayama. I like his presentation style,
never hurried, taking his time to set it all up and then wham! The
finale comes and hit you hard on the face and you are left astound
and even at times spooked. That's what magic is all about. I'm glad I
have finally found a role model to emulate, alast only in presentation style.
Art_Of_Magic - April 7, 2006 04:22 PM (GMT)
My favourite is definitely Daryl.. His teachings from card sleights, card revealation to fooler's doolers (Oh My!!!) is good and funny...
He's 1 of the best out there.. Salute to him..... B)
