Description: different quality?
jonatha - April 5, 2006 03:33 PM (GMT)
those who have bought dark card, i wonder if there is imitation one... i have 2types and seen 3 different type.
1. it comes attatch to a long strip of transparent plastic in 1row( come in 3)
the booklet inside looks ok
the quality is very poor. only can be used lss than ten time
2. it come attatch to one plastic flim. two on one side and one on the other
the booklet printing was very dark, looks like photocopy
but the quality was very good. its quite strong
3.it comes attatch to 3 other card in a white envlope.
the booklet looks good, better than the other 2
not sure about the quality because i don't have this one.

Does that matter?
Because if you know how the dark card works, you can make your own. Thus you can make your "Joe Porper"(or any name) quality dark cards!!
Booklet wise... Does the tricks in the booklet equate to the trick you only can do with the dark card? Again, real or imitation does not matter. All you need is brains to think up of the limitless combinations of the dark card.
Again I stress... Does what you ask really matter?
For me, I would spend money on my first dark card and make my own subsequent ones... Who cares about imitations?

Sometimes it does matter.
For all we know, jonatha might be just trying to find out if he actually paid full price for a pirated product.
Its like paying US$200 for a RNT II Don Alan Chop cup and later discover it was produced by Ickle Pickle. Yes it works the same but you don't get what you paid for.
Maybe that analogy wasn't as good.
If you paid $400 for Photoshop like someone on SMC. When you get the product, you realised its on a burnt dvd-r. Would that matter?
Maybe poor jonatha suspected he got cheated. Perhaps he was thinking more impactful routines were included in the original manuscript. Maybe he was expecting better printing and paper quality for the price he paid.
It all boils down to the worth of the product.

..and the trustworthiness of the place/person he bought it from.
Afterall, if i over-paid for something from someone, it might very well be my last purchase.

the first one i mention is i think its not the orginal one but i'm not sure...
i metion about the booklet is to make easier to verify with those who also have the product and easier to confirm which one you got (you have a problem with that??)
AGAIN I STRESS IT DOES MATTER
would you pay 100 bucks for a photocopied book although it teaches you the same stuff??
if you make it for your own use <_< its fine.. BUT if you make to sell its PIRACY...
would you support a pirate???
we want to support the creater and NOT the pirate...

Alright. EVERYTIME you mention that, I am going to be reminded I bought the same thing for the same price as you.
So stop bringing that up! :ph43r:

"MARK" my words just make it so sensitive -_- So back to the topic, anyone has any idea how the original packaging of Dark Card really is?

This seems to be a very pirate-able manuscript on the MARKet  Anyways, since the refills can be DIYed, there could be so many unoriginals floating around it's not funny. The actual original thing could be any of the 3 jon listed or not even one of it!
Just wondering... Does anyone use this for their walk around performances? :)
